During the fifteen minutes after it's applied, once it starts to dry you'll notice right away how it makes your skin feel tight. You can also tell when it's completely hardened because the color turns into a light grey coating. The most challenging part for me was removing the mask, and it took a good fifteen minutes or so before I finally had it all washed away from my face (and hair). But once you feel how soft and supple your skin is afterwards, you'll be SO glad you tried it. My pores have a tendency to become clogged with oil, especially on my nose and cheeks, which can lead to breakouts, but you can really tell how the charcoal in this mask draws out the impurities in your skin. The fragrance isn't too powerful or overwhelming either, and that is an added bonus, especially if you're like me and you have a problem with heavily scented products aggravating your allergies. I would recommend this product to anyone, and even though I have no doubt that it will become a staple in my beauty regime. ...read more
I would say that I was not disappointed! This moisturizer has been raved about for a while now, but I haven’t gone out to try it because I was happy with my Aveeno moisturizer. I still love Aveeno and everything but this has definitely replaced it as my HG (holy grail) moisturizer. The thing that I love about this is that it moisturizes my skin thoroughly without making me feel greasy or oily, or like I even have moisturizer on at all! Both the Tazorac and Duac dry out my skin pretty badly, and with the Olay moisturizer, I don’t see any dry patches or flakes at all.
Coming out of the tube, the texture is quite watery and it very easily spreads and soaks into your skin. I literally don’t feel like I put anything on my skin minutes after applying it. It provides SPF 15 protection, which I think all moisturizers should at least come equipped with nowadays. The plus factor is that it does not use avobenzone as an active ingredient, so it doesn’t leave that white caste or greasy feeling that sunscreens give. I have heard that Olay has reformulated it so that instead of zinc oxide, it uses avobenzone – so I’m glad I bought the older formula! ...read more
I have to say, Within a week or 2, I saw results. Blackheads would magically fall off when I washed my face maybe a day after the treatment. Right now, my skin is so smooth! Like I never had that sand paper face. People at work would go up to me all the time asking me what I did to it or what I used. I think I've convinced 2 people to try it and they have seen positive results. I do recommend getting a really good, soothing oil free moisturizer after use and SPF in the day because of course in all microdermabrasions, new skin is exposed and are more susceptible to damage from the sun. I probably wouldn't use it for cystic or severe acne, it might be too abrasive and cause more breakouts.
I know this tiny jar is a whopping $75 but, I bought this in December, use it religiously, and still have plenty left!
Sorry this review is so long but, gosh I love this product. It saved my confidence! ...read more
