Influenster Reviewers’ Choice Awards: Spotlight on Cocktail Hour
Cheers to the winners!
For the first time ever, the winners of our sixth annual Influenster Reviewers’ Choice Awards included food and beverage winners! As I myself am not the great chef in the world, I thought I would share some of my favorite recipes: cocktail recipes. These are some of the most classic cocktails I know how to make, so if you’re not a master mixologist, don’t be nervous.
Manhattan featuring Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, our 2020 Winner in the whiskey category.
2 parts whiskey
1 part sweet vermouth
1 dash Angostura bitters
1 dash orange bitters
Mix all of the ingredients with ice, but then use a strainer to pour into a long stemmed glass and garnish with as many cherries as you would like. Alternately, if you’re someone like me who is always worried about spilling: serve it in a tumblr with ice for a Manhattan on the rocks.
Margarita featuring Patrón Silver Tequila, our 2002 Winner in the tequila category.
2 parts tequila
1 part fresh lime juice
1 part orange liquor (like Grand Marnier or Cointreau)
Shake these ingredients together in a mixer with ice, and then pour into the Margarita glass of your choice. To salt the rim, pour salt on a plate, wet the rim, and then spin the glass on the plate. Fill the cup up with ice, and pour your Margarita.
Moscow Mule featuring Tito's Handmade Vodka, our 2020 winner in the Vodka category
3 parts Vodka
1 part Lime Juice
5 parts GingerBeer
A fancy copper mug is always a nice touch, but this drink is refreshing and tasty regardless. Mix together all three ingredients and serve over ice with a fun paper straw and a lime wedge garnish.
Mudslide featuring Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur, our 2020 winner for best Liqueur
1 part Baileys
1 part Vodka (maybe some of that Titos you bought!)
1 part coffee liqueur
1 part heavy cream
This basically tastes like ice cream, so watch out. Mix equal parts of all four ingredients in a shaker with ice, and then pour out into a coupe glass. Feel free to garnish with chocolate sauce on the bottom of the glass, or chocolate shavings if you have any.
Mamma Mia featuring International Delight French Vanilla Creamer, our 2020 winner for best coffee creamer
1 part International Delight
1 part Amaretto
1 part Vodka
This is a top secret recipe, and I promise you the secret to it is using flavored coffee creamer instead of milk or cream. Not many have been brave enough to try this, and it is deceptively strong, but it is my own personal invention and I think you might like it. Mix equal parts of all three ingredients and pour over a large serving of ice into whatever the funnest glass you have is, I am partial to a set of novelty rose gold disco balls I have. Enjoy, and thank me later.
What cocktails are you inspired to mix up this weekend using our happy hour winners. Tell us in the comments!
