It takes some serious dedication to completely finish a beauty product. We can relate! Get the scoop on the products we used 'til the end this January!
What it is: IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup Cleansing Balm
What it does: Removes makeup and cleanses skin
Why I bought it: I love a good cleansing balm and am always looking for a decent product to remove ALL my makeup at the end of the day. After being a loyal fan of IT Cosmetics for several years, I decided I needed to give this new addition a shot.
Pros: It works. All of my makeup simply melts off with just a dime-sized amount of this balm. It's super moisturizing and reminds me a lot of coconut oil!
Cons: Although the products says you don't have to use with water, I really found that you do. The product is pretty thick so it can leave a bit of a balmy, oily film otherwise. But, with a touch of water, poof! It's all gone and you're face is left squeaky clean and makeup free.
Will I buy this again: I would! I really loved how thorough it was at removing my makeup. Although this product boasts cleansing properties on its own, I really still preferred using it in conjuction with my normal cleanser. So although I would repurchase in a heartbeat, I would purchase it as a makeup remover.
What it does: Cleanses skin
Why I bought it: I had the opportunity to meet the founders of the brand last year and was introduced to the fun concept of beauty products powered by superfoods. I go through cleansers faster than any beauty product so I had to give this a go. I thought it would be a perfect pick to keep in the shower for my post-workout cleansing.
Pros: I love the ingredients in this cleanser—kale, spinach, and green tea. I religiously used this product for several months for my post-workout cleansing routine and felt like it really removed all the dirt and sweat.
Cons: I didn't see too much in the way of results with it. I definitely didn't stop breaking out but I didn't get any worse! So in my book, that's good enough.
Will I buy this again: Yes, but I'd like to try another cleanser in the meantime. #cleanseraddict

What it is: ChapStick Classic Lip Balm, Strawberry
What it does: Heals and prevents chapped lips
Why I bought it: I continue to buy ChapStick because it's right by the register. The person that negotiated that shelf space is a genius because it's always an after-thought purchase and I'll throw it in my basket as I'm paying for my items. I think ChapStick works and it's not a brand that dries out your lips to keep you buying the product, but I have other lip balms that are more hydrating and last longer. It's not my absolute favorite, but it's good enough.
Pros: The convenience of buying the item and the price.
Cons: It could be more hydrating and last longer.
Will I buy this again: I think ChapStick will always be a category leader, dominating the space by the cash register, so yes, I'm sure I'll purchase it again.

What it is: Summer's Eve Cleansing Wash Aloe
What it does: Cleanses skin and balances pH
Why I bought it: This might seem like an odd pick, mainly because whenever I mention Summer’s Eve people blush. BUT, when I met with this brand, they mentioned that most women are using shower products that can completely throw off their body’s pH levels which can mean some not-so-fun consequences. I received a sample of this body wash and since I had just run out of my old brand I used it.
Pros: Turns out, it’s not only is this body wash safe and gentle, but also it smells good and is moisturizing to boot. I’m sold.
Cons: None as long as you don’t let the stigma of the name get you—normalize feminine care people!
Will I buy this again: Of course! This is a great body wash that comes in a huge bottle at an affordable price. Plus, it comes with peace of mind.

What it does: Seasons with pepper and lemon flavor
Why I bought it: I always am looking for seasoning that's strong and contributes to a dish, but doesn't commandeer the entire taste of the meal.
Pros: It also comes with a grinder on the bottom that really lets you don your artisanal swag.
Cons: Can't really think of any—it's very solid on most anything
Will I buy this again: Already did!

What it is: Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner
What it does: It lines your lids to precise perfection.
Why I bought it: I had heard this liquid eyeliner basically had a cult following so I had to give it a try.
Pros: It’s great for all skill levels. I’m not a pro at mastering the cat eye and I don’t need to be when I’m using this. It’s so precise that you can control the application steadily. And bonus: it didn’t dry out until about 6 months in.
Cons: This isn’t really a con, more of a heads up for people who are trying it out for the first time. Just beware it dries instantly once it touches your skin. If you mess up, you’ll have to take makeup remover to re-do it.
Will I but it again: Definitely! I’m a winged liner kind of girl now–this product is my life.

What it is: Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
Why I bought it: It was actually suggested to me by a salesperson in Sephora. I told her I was lazy about taking my makeup off at night and she told me I NEEDED it. She was right. I needed it.
Pros: This is the best thing that has ever happened to my nighttime routine. Just put it on, wash your face and all of your makeup is off…plus it’s also a cleanser so 2 in 1.
Cons: I don’t love the texture…it feels a little oily going on, but once you take it off you feel so fresh and so clean.
Will I buy this again: Already did.
