I Tried the Apple Cider Vinegar Detox and LOVED it!
My grandmother once told me she used vinegar as a weight loss supplement, and I called her crazy. Then, I began to see markets across the country dedicating entire store displays to to apple cider vinegar. Next thing I know, nutritional supplement carriers are selling it, too, and beauty sites everywhere are preaching that a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar reduces bloating, increases immunity, and revs up your metabolism. So, I ate my words and dove head first into my grandmother's routine.
As a disclaimer, I didn’t consult my physician, but I did do my research. For three months, I would have a glass of water with one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar before starting my day.
Making my morning concoction was simple:
Step 1: Pour one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into a cup.
Step 2: Pour in one cup (about 8 oz.) of water and mix together well with a spoon.
Step 3 (optional): Add in a tad bit of honey to take the edge off!
I tried the following three vinegars:
To say my morning concoction tastes good is the biggest overstatement I could make, but this certainly was bearable! I could really feel the stuff working in my stomach, and I felt good knowing I was consuming an organic, gluten-free product! I felt significantly less bloated within a week of drinking this brand of cider vinegar and it was reflected on the scale.
Heinz’s Apple Cider Vinegar mixed really well with my water. The acidic taste really softened up when mixed with good old H2O, and it left me feeling light and regulated.
With the words “SuperFoods Certified” in the title, I had to try this out. I was so glad I did! The taste was definitely strong but I could tell the juices were really stirring in my stomach.
Overall, all of these apple cider vinegars were great purchases. I can’t say my results will be same as anyone else's, but I experienced weight loss and better periods over the three months I did this detox, and never once got sick—even when my roommates all did! As my immunity and metabolism seemed to improve, I noticed more hydrated skin and less stomach aches after a big meal.
