I Need A Cocktail: Summer Sangria
image via: Didriks
We love a good batch of sangria - not only because it’s delicious, but also because it’s so easy to make! There’s no shaking, muddling, or blending involved when it comes to this fruity drink. Just mix together the ingredients in a pitcher the night before, let it soak overnight, and voilȧ! You’ve got the perfect sangria for your next weekend brunch. Don’t skimp on the 24-hour soak, though, we promise the wait will be worth it.
What You'll Need:
1 bottle of dry red wine
½ cup brandy
¼ cup sugar
1 pound of fruits/berries (your choice - we recommend strawberries, blackberries, and/or blueberries!)
2 oranges, thinly sliced
2 limes, thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 bottle club soda (optional)
How You'll Do It:
1. Pour the wine, brandy, and sugar together in the pitcher, mixing until the sugar is completely dissolved.
2. Add the fruits, berries, oranges, limes, and lemons, crushing them slightly to release their juices.
3. Cover the pitcher and leave in your fridge overnight - it’s that easy!
Serve with a little club soda for an extra-special pick-me-up.
