4 Different Ways to Wear Laura Mercier's New Highlighting Palette
You glow, girl.
Mermaid beauty–it's having a moment. Wild at times and always requires a double-take. But you don't have to be a member of the mythical creature fan club to love Laura Mercier's Lightstruck Palette. With five crème highlighters that are designed to mimic light refracting and reflecting off objects, you can use each shade separately or blend and build them together to create a natural prismatic effect. The shades include Aurora—a flushed pink, Reflect—a bronze, Prism—a gleam of gold, Beam—a mystical silver, and Ray—a fair nude. The formula for each is incredibly lightweight, so it feels just as good as it looks.
And the best part? It's a totally wearable palette you can create different looks with. Below, find four easy ways to make the most out of your palette.
Lightstruck signature look
For just a classic, everyday glow, start by applying Aurora with your fingertips all over your face. This will really enhance your complexion. Then, select your favorite shimmery shade and apply it to the high points of your face. Set it with powder for an all-day wear.

For more of a strobe effect, apply Ray or Prism to the center of your forehead, straight down the center of your nose, and dot the tip of your nose. You can blend out with your fingertips easily since we're dealing with cream formulas. Then, set it with powder. Top the look off by pressing a small dot of Ray or Prism to the center of each eyelid.
Sculpt and shape
For an ultra-defined look, enhance your high cheekbones by pressing Ray, Prism, or Reflect to the ridge of your cheekbones and blend out with the tips of your fingers. Then, apply Reflect to the hollows of your cheeks and the sides of your nose. You can create dimension on the eyes by applying Aurora in the creases and finishing off with Reflect, Ray, or Prism on your lids.
Get a dewy finish by applying Ray to your cheekbones, nose, and eyelids for a reflective base. Then, layer Beam on top for a metallic, wet-like finish. Top it off by applying Beam on your lids and cupid's bow for an ultra-illuminating effect.
Pro tip–you can even create the appearance of fuller lips by applying this palette directly to your lips or on top of lipstick!

Apply Aurora all over your left cheekbone for warmth, followed by Prism at the high points of your cheekbones for extra sheen. Then, apply Reflect all over your right cheekbone to start the sheen and Beam to build a stronger cool sheen. Top off the look by placing Ray along the bridge of your nose and your cupid's bow.
