#TBT Trend: Frosted Lips
Ice, ice, baby.
Any loyal Influenster knows, a few of us here at HQ previously rocked a month-long lipstick challenge. In honor of our lipstick experiment, we're showing you some top lipstick trends and the products you need to pull them off. Last week, we explored the daring world of dark lipstick. This week, we're serving up some '90s inspo with frosted pouts. Get the scoop on how to pull of this throwback look.
A great introductory option for the frosted look, this super sheer lipstick from Insta-fave, essence, is buildable and has a subtle sheen to it. Try Frosted 06, a princess pink, for a try feminine touch. Tip: A creamy pink will work well on fair-skinned wearers!
Known for their vibrant color options and nourishing formula (they're enriched with vitamins A and C), the Color Statement Lipstick from MILANI is a great option for experimenting with different pucker shades. We're partial to this dusty rose hue that has a not-so-subtle glisten to it. See what Influensters are saying:
"I love Milani lipsticks!! They are by far my favorite drugstore lipstick brand. I love the color selection and formula. The color goes on smoothly without being too drying and stays out for a long time!! It will of course come off with eating or drinking but lasts much longer than other drugstore brands. I will continue to keep purchasing Milani lipsticks because of the great price and quality!"
Although you really can't go wrong with any of the NYX shades from the Wicked Lippies collection, we're partial to Power, a deep metallic rose with hints of silver in it. Tip: With hints of grey undertones, this color will look lovely on olive skin tones.
Although this honey hue is a lip treatment as opposed to a full-blown lipstick, we're obsessed with its warm bronze shimmer. Swipe it on to nourish lips and get a pop of frosting. Tip: Swipe a clear lip gloss over to enhance the shine.
