Braid Bible: The Waterfall
Didn't you hear? It's Braid Bible time—so stop, drop everything, and grab a brush and hair tie.
If you tuned in last week, you saw how to create Twin Microbraids. This week we're exploring the rainforest with a Waterfall Braid tutorial. Scan through these step-by-step instructions on how to DIY the look yourself. Although anyone can pull off the Waterfall Braid, we think the look is particularly perfect for medium-to-long haired Influensters. Fair warning before we start: our model rocks the one-sided Waterfall Braid, but you can feel free to follow the steps for both sides of your hair and connect them at the crown of your head!
Step 1: Make sure your hair is completely brushed through to avoid any tangle trouble mid-braid.
Step 2: Let your hair fall into its natural part for a very relaxed feel, or switch up your part to your liking—either side or middle will work!
Step 3: Our model had her hair parted on the side, and we chose to use the side of the part with the least amount of hair to braid. Starting as close to the face as possible (in the small section), take a piece of your hair and part it into two strands of hair.
Step 5: Braid the two strands once, and then once again!
Step 6: Take a third strand of hair from the top of your head (along the part) and place it between the first two.
Step 7: Braid the first two sections again to secure the third section.
Step 8: Repeat this braid pattern (Steps 5-7) until you reach the back of your head. Then finish the length of your hair with a classic, three-strand braid.
Step 9: Voila! You're done. Now go show off your wonderful waterfall!
