How to Stay Positive During Cold Months
As winter draws nearer and the days shorten, sometimes it’s hard to stay motivated. Personally, every year around this time I begin to feel a bit blah, and I just wanted to share a few things that help me get out of that rut.
Peace, Love, Exercise - I cannot stress this enough. Whether it’s going to the gym or just going on a shopping spree, any type of activity is a must during this season. I know you just want to curl up and watch Netflix, but I promise you that keeping active will not only improve your body, but also your mindset.
Embrace the Season to be Freezing - Yeah, I get it, snow can be a pain. But instead of spending your time complaining, get out there and make the most of the season. Sledding, snowmen, and sleigh rides are a definite must for cold weather. So get in the last of your fall bonfires, because winter is on the way!
Stay Stylish - As easy as it is to stick to sweats and sweatshirts, staying put together always adds to a more positive mindset. Winter clothes can be cute too, so break out those duck boots and get out there you fashionistas!
Don’t Be a Stranger - Companions are key this time of year, and that doesn’t just mean a significant other. What better time to patch up rusty relationships with your family and friends? And keep those you’re already close with closer by getting them a killer gift for whatever holiday they’ll be celebrating.
Just Let it Slide - Don’t be a scrooge this season, but don’t let others attitudes affect you either. It’s hard to stay positive when everything is dark and dreary, and chances are everyone else is getting a little cabin fever too. Keep as cool as the temps, and don’t let others get you down.
