How To Make Your Perfume Last All Day
You, Influenster, are a beauty guru so you know that there are few things worse than spending quality time finding your signature scent only to have it fade away before you finish your morning coffee.
To avoid this fragrance faux pas, we teamed up with Viktor & Rolf to give you the tips you need to make your perfume last all day long.
Layers for the win
Even the most concentrated perfume needs a little help lasting both day and night and you’ve probably got the keys to scent victory in your shower right now. Using a body wash, shower gel, or bubble bath in the same fragrance you love will ensure that you have a foundation in place to help your scent stay put.
The state of your skin makes a big difference when it comes to perfume staying power. Fragrance won’t last long on dry skin so make sure to moisturize before you spritz. Have a lotion with the same scent as your favorite fragrance? Even better!
The intensity of your scent depends on the type of product you’re spritzing. Highly concentrated formulas such as Flowerbomb Precious Oil will stick around much longer than perfumes or eau de toilettes. Dab scented oils on your pulse points—throat, inner wrist, behind the ears, the backs of your knees—to get the most impact out of your scent.
After you’ve created your base scent foundation, moisturized, and applied the most concentrated version of your favorite scent, it’s time to spray away. Grab your signature scent such as Flowerbomb’s Eau de Parfum and mist your clothes and hair. Keep in mind that everyone’s skin absorbs and processes fragrance differently. If you’re still craving more fragrance, you may need to reapply your Eau de Parfum during the day.
And, in case you missed it, a few thousand lucky Influensters are testing the brand new Viktor & Rolf FLOWERBOMB Precious Oil. If you're still a little stumped on how to layer your fragrances check out this step by step tutorial from our co-founder, Elizabeth!
