So fresh and so clean.

Share Tweet

You take your signature scent seriously. You layer your fragrance and apply your favorite sweat-squashing deodorant daily but, when it comes to your clothes, are you staying fresh all day? No matter how clean you are, your clothes can trap nasty odors leaving you feeling and smelling less than fresh. That's why we've teamed up with Downy to give you a first look at their new Fresh Protect Beads with In-Wash Febreze Odor Defense.

These powerful beads banish odor and keep your clothes fresh. Plus, they are available as part of Downy's most popular scent line—the April Fresh Collection. Downy Fresh Protect In-Wash Odor Shield beads have a motion-activated formula that neutralizes odors as they occur throughout your day. It's like deodorant for your clothes! Using this product is easy:

1. Pour out a capful of beads—use as much or as little as you prefer

2. Toss the beads into your washing machine

3. Add your dirty clothes, set your cycle, and wash as usual

Want a few more tips on how to keep your clothes smelling clean and fresh? We found some useful tricks on Downy's website. Check out a few of our favorites here and get even more tips on downy.com:

+ Don't let your dirty or damp clothes sit! Bacteria can multiply and cause a major odor meltdown. Wash or pre-treat dirty clothes immediately. Or, spread out sweaty or damp clothes and let them air dry before tossing them in the hamper to wash later.

+ Dry your clothes immediately. Wet clothes quickly mildew and become smelly all over again.

+ Clean your washing machine! Even your laundry appliances need freshening every now and then. Once per month, Downy recommends cleaning a top-loader washer by running a hot-water cycle until the drum is full, adding four cups of vinegar, and letting the mixture sit for an hour. The, finish the cycle. Or simply use Tide® Washing Machine Cleaner once a month.

Now it's time to get fresh!
