How to Host A Gold Medal-Worthy Olympics Watch Party

Show your pride!

If you can't hop on a flight to PyeongChang, do the next best thing and host an Olympics watch party! We've got all the ideas you need to plan a medal-winning get together.

Start by making sure you'll have enough seating! Push couches together, gather chairs, and maybe even pick up a few bean bags for the kids to get comfy! Decorate with twists of crepe paper streamers in the colors of the Olympic Rings, and make sure there are mini flags available for your guests so they can show their team allegiances. As the games begin, pass out mini chalkboards and chalk so guests can score and weigh in on the events!

If you're feeling worldly, host a potluck and ask friends to bring a dish that represents their heritage or the country they're rooting for. This slowcooker is a must-have—it makes prepping and serving food super easy! Set your table buffet-style and sprinkle star confetti to spread those party vibes. Arrange colored bowls of chips, dip, and other snacks in the formation of the Olympic rings, and set deserts up on tiered platters to save space! You can even jazz up your serving platters by lining them with broze, silver, and gold doilies (read: easy cleanup).

Last but not least are the drinks! Check out this list of the top-rate summer beers on and pick out some refreshing brews to serve, and don't forget to keep some Goldschlager on hand for those gold medal moments. For the kids, whip up this patriotic punch; all you'll need is Cranberry Splash Sierra Mist, Hawaiian Punch, Lemon-Lime Sierra Mist, Blue Gatorade, and ice! Need more drink inspo?
