Any beautiful lip color can create a bold look, but do you get when you add more than one color? Pure makeup art. We can't think of a prettier way to create some makeup art of your own than with ombre lips. They're a beautiful way to make a statement, and they're surprisingly simple to create. See how below!
What you need:
Your favorite lipstick
Darker lip liner
Moisturize your lips: It is important to have hydrated lips in order for the look to blend easily and be long-wearing. Try: Chapstick Original Lip balm for a smooth, transparent base.
Apply the lip color: Focus the color on the center. This step does not have to be perfect because you will define the lips after. Try: BITE Amuse Bouche in Maple for a rich, creamy finish and perfect fall shade.
Line your lips: When picking a liner, use a liner darker than your lipstick. Try to be as precise as possible, in order to define the lips. Start at the Cupid’s bow and use light strokes. Try: NYX Cosmetics Slim Lip Liner Pencil in Cabaret for a smooth, easy-to-glide line.
Apply shimmer shadow: Use a flat shader brush to shade to the center of the lips with the shadow. Tap lightly onto the top and bottom, blending the color in the lipstick.
Blend Lighting use your finger to blend the colors together. The liner should define the lips and smoothly transition into the lipstick.
