Hold Up—Black Blush Exists

In the latest edition of Weird Product Wednesday, we're bringing you a product that, at first glance, doesn't seem weird at all. But on further examination, it doesn't take a scientist to realize that Rituel de Fille's new Inner Glow Crème Pigment: Eclipse is not your every day blush.

rituel de fille

Sure, it gives color to your cheeks, lids, and lips. But, it's the hue in question that's really the source of our interest. Instead of a blushing pink or fleshy apricot, the multi-purpose cream is—wait for it—black. (Hence the name Eclipse, which despite our hopes, is not a reference to Twilight.) The darker hue might sound weird, and yeah, it is, but hear us out. Eclipse appears aubergine on skin once applied.

You can swipe this deep hue on your cheeks for a contoured touch, on your lids for a soft wash of color, and on your lips for an eye catching pout. The creamy texture allows you to easily build the color to be as light (but still dark!) or as black as you want. See a swipe below!

See? Not super crazy. A little blending, a little shading. Voilà! Eclipse is available for pre-order now for $29 for an April 5th launch date.
