It's an exciting time for the candy world. (Although we venture the candy world is always a wonderful world in which to live.) Earlier this week we got a peek at the latest addition to the Reese's family and now we're getting the news that Hershey's is also adding another bar to its chocolate squad.
Welcome the new Hershey's Gold to your taste buds! The new candy bar is a salty, sweet, caramel-y treat that takes the Hershey's Bar you know and love to a totally new level. To be more specific with the details, Gold will feature caramelized creme with salty peanut and pretzel bits sprinkled throughout.
Now the buttery treat is actually the brand's first new addition to the chocolate family since 1995 when White Creme made its debut. In addition to the white chocolate wonder, Gold also joins Dark chocolate (introduced in 1939) and the OG Milk chocolate, which started it all in 1900. Talk about a #TBT.
As far as when you'll be able to get your taste buds on this new launch, mark those candy cals for December 1, which happens to be a very important date for another reason. Any guesses? It's the 100-day mark to the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games! (FYI Hershey's has an official partnership with United States Olympic Committee.) You can watch the US go for gold while you also go for gold in an entirely different way, of course.
