Use Sidewalks – When available, always use the sidewalks rather than the street.

Don’t Dart Out - Teach kids to not dart out behind parked cars for sake of possible oncoming moving vehicles.

Parents, Stay Off Devices - I know we all want to Tweet and Instagram our cute little ones but wait until you’re in a safe place and not near traffic so your attention is on your surroundings.

Be Seen - Use glow-sticks, flashlights, reflective tape, etc. to help little ones be seen by oncoming cars.

Avoid Trips and Falls - Select costumes that fit well and don’t drag on the floor – make sure good fitting shoes are on as well.

Choose Face Paint – Rather than masks that can impair vision, try face paint and hair accessories for fun dress-up.
