There may be only ten days left of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything you can do! In addition to the amazing products you can buy to support the cause, there are also a ton of great actions you can take too! So take  a look at this list and become a part of some of the amazing causes that support women's health and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

1. Create an Early Detection Plan

Early Detection Plan

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, but according to the American Cancer Society when detected early, the 5-year survival rate is 100%! Make you you have a plan to encourage self-examinations and to schedule clinical breast exams. Being proactive about your own health is the most important part of the ongoing battle against breast cancer!

2. Learn about the Full Spectrum of the Disease

Become a better ally by educating yourself and those around you on the different stages of breast cancer. Education is crucial to awareness. These conversations are a simple way to open up discussion about the scope and effects of breast cancer.

3. Give a Mammogram to a Woman in Need

National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.

According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, on average, a mammogram costs $100, but many women without insurance are too often unable to afford one. The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. has already helped give 350,000 breast health services to women across the United States. A donation of just $100 can make an enormous difference for a women in need!

4. Eat Yoplait Yogurt!

Friends in the Fight

For nearly 20 years Yoplait has worked to support those affected by breast cancer on their difficult journey. Buy Yopliat products with pink lids during October and November, and enter the codes on the lids by March 31, 2016. Donations from this campaign will go directly to Bright Pink, Living Beyond Breast Cancer and Susan G. Komen.

5. Start or Join a Fundraiser!

NBCF Fundraising Toolkit

Whether it's a concert, marathon or bake-off, The National Breast Cancer Foundation encourages you to get creative with your own fundraising efforts! So use your skills and raise money for the cause!

6. Write to a Senator

Breast Cancer Fund

Under current law, the Toxic Substances Control Act, the Environmental Protection Agency has only been able to require safety testing for a fraction of the 85,000 chemicals in commerce today. Despite our scientific understanding of the connection between chemicals and disease, this Act has not been updated since 1976! Write to your senator and encourage them to change this law to find and ban potentially carcinogenic chemicals!

7. Sign the Petition

ACS Cancer Action Network

Support greater funding for the National Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. This program provides low-income, uninsured, and underinsured women access to lifesaving cancer screening ands follow-up services. Congress has only provided enough funding for 1/5 eligible women to receive these screenings. Show your support for this amazing program!

8. Make Strides Towards a World Without Breast Cancer

Making Strides

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks are the largest network of breast cancer awareness events. With a presence in nearly 300 communities, there is bound to be one nearby! Join one of these non-competitive walks as a team or an individual and help make a difference! These walks raise funds that allow the American Cancer Society to fund breast cancer research, provide information and support those who have been affected by cancer.

9. Bid on Exclusive NFL Pink Products!

NFL A Crucial Catch

The NFL has partnered with the American Cancer Society for the seventh year in a row with their 'A Crucial Catch' Campaign. Throughout the month of October NFL players, coaches and referees have worn exclusive pink merchandise and are now auctioning it off to raise money for the American Cancer Society. So now you can support your favorite team AND help in the fight against breast cancer!

10. Volunteer with the American Cancer Society

American Cancer Society

As a volunteer you can honor a loved one, help people in your local community, and join the front lines of the fight against cancer. There are volunteer positions to suit all talents and interests. Keep in mind, your time is one of the greatest donations you can make to the battle against cancer!

The fight against breast cancer is not limited to the month of October. The amount of support for this community generated during this month is amazing, it is important to remember that many of these actions can be taken throughout the year!
