Empties: All the Products We Finished This October
It takes some serious dedication to completely finish a beauty product. Whether you used it up because it's just that good or you were determined to get your money's worth—or both—there's great satisfaction that comes with scraping the bottom of the bottle or squeezing the last drop out of the tube. We can relate! That's why we're sharing with you the products we finished each month in a series we're calling Empties. Here you'll get the honest low down—the good and the bad—about the beauty products all of our Influenster editors have used to the very last drop.
What it is: ColorWow Speed Dry Blow-Dry Spray
What it does: Speeds up dry time for wet hair and protects against heat damage.
Why I bought it: This was recommended to me by a hair stylist and after she tested it on me I was sold—my hair was shiny but not oily and dried much faster than usual.
Pros: Less time spent drying my hair makes me a happy lady. Plus, this spray leaves hair with a healthy shine and never leaves a heavy residue. I also love that it guards against heat damage since I use some sort of hot tool on my hair daily.
Cons: It’s expensive for the size of the bottle, but it’s totally worth it. I try not to wash my hair every day but if I did this stuff would be gone quick!
Will I buy it again: Absolutely!

What it is: St. Ives Blackhead Clearing Green Tea Scrub
What it does: Exfoliates skin, removes dead skin cells, unclogs pores
Why I bought it: I first was introduced to this product at work a few years back—the perks of working in beauty!
Pros: It's 100 percent natural and contains zero microbeads, which is really important to me, both for my skin and for the environment. Plus, I was hooked at how gentle, yet effective, it was at truly exfoliating my skin. I noticed right away that my skin felt cleansed and my pores looked a little less clogged. And the green tea scent is amazing!
Cons: You can't buy it in a lifetime supply?! Honestly, I have gone through at least three tubes of this already with no complaints.
Will I buy it again: Already have and I will again.

What it is: Nu Skin Whitening Fluoride Toothpaste
What it does: Whitens and cleans teeth
Why I bought it: My mom bought it for me. :)
Pros: I did notice a difference in how white my teeth were, but the results weren't overwhelming. My teeth felt clean and my mouth fresh.
Cons: Though the product did whiten my teeth slightly, I think other less expensive products will do the same thing or better. While my teeth felt clean, I like how other toothpastes have little beads in them to help with scrubbing. This toothpaste was very soft and smooth, which made it glide across my teeth and caused me to have to brush a little harder to feel the clean effects.
Will I buy it again: No. If my mom buys it again, I'll use it, but I won't purchase it for myself.

What it is: Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist
What it does: Turns me into a goddess. No, but actually this stuff is skin GOLD. Throw it on on top of my makeup and it gives a great glow/sets my makeup.
Why I bought it: *Cough, I saw it on Kylie Jenner’s Snapchat, cough.*
Pros: Sets makeup so it lasts throughout the day, makes the light hit in all the right places and my skin just appears more glow-y.
Cons: Smells kind of funky.
Will I buy it again: Yes!
—Carson Mehl, Senior Social Media Strategist
What it is: PharmAssure Melatonin
What it does: Helps me get to bed when I had coffee too late in the day.
Why I bought it: Melatonin has a long-standing reputation of being a great sleep aid, and its reputation is tried and true.
Pros: Gently aids in getting drowsy, and provides an immediate placebo effect.
Cons: Often makes you kind of groggy or cranky in the morning
—Zack Handler, Videographer
What it does: It sets makeup for a lightweight, matte finish.
Why I bought it: My mom has always sworn by Lancôme products, so I thought I’d give the matte powder a try. It’s become a product I can't live without. I always have it in my purse if I ever need to do mid-day touch ups.
Pros: It’s great for keeping my foundation in place and making my skin look even and shine-free all day long.
Cons: In the winter, I have to be more conscientious about how I moisturize my skin before I apply makeup. If I skip lotion, this powder can come off a tad dry.
Will I but it again: Definitely! I’ve been re-purchasing it for years.
