Elizabeth Scherle is known for a lot of things. But if we had to narrow it down to just two, we’d say one is starting Influenster. And the other is her big hair. Her beautiful curls demand attention, and lucky for us, she’s willing to share the secrets to her signature look. Want to learn how she gets such soft, healthy, and bouncy curls? Check out her curl routine below.
Step 1: Wash hair with shampoo and conditioner
Using the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair is the first step in any curl routine. Garnier Fructis' Curl Nourish Shampoo and Conditioner are formulated with Active Fruit Protein™, an exclusive combination of citrus protein, and vitamins B3 and B6 to strengthen hair. Made without parabens, the Nourish line won't strip hair's natural moisture. Instead, you'll leave the shower with stronger, smoother, and frizz-resistant curls for up to 24 hours.
Step 2: Apply Garnier Fructis Curl Treats on wet hair
This new collection of leave-in stylers controls frizz and shapes curls. Available in Smoothie, Jelly, and Butter, these Curl Treats are meant to be mixed together. Elizabeth uses Butter and Jelly for hydration and hold. Just apply a quarter-sized amount (a little goes a long way) to slightly damp hair, then distrubte evenly and scrunch. You can let your hair air dry from here, or move onto step 3 to continue with Elizabeth's curl routine.
Step 3: Use a diffuser to dry curls
Since Elizabeth usually doesn't have time to wait for her hair to air dry (plus wet hair in the winter is no fun), she dries it with a diffuser to speed up the process. Her pro-tip? Start at the root to take the volume to the next level.
Step 4: Define any loose curls with a wand
Need to perfect some curls? Use a curling wand, and tug at the roots with the iron to distribute the heat. Make sure you don't curl your ends and don't forget the back of the head!
Step 5: Finish the look with hairspray
Flip hair over and spray for extra oomph. Then, shake out your hair to add that final touch.
