Dunkin' Donuts Launched a Blizzard-Inspired Donut

Now, we're not saying that we're into the idea of more snow or anything. (Influenster HQ just braved Bomb Cyclone 2018!) But if the snow we're talking about has anything to do with sweet treats, now you've caught our attention. So it should come as no surprise that Dunkin' Donuts has us reconsidering a snow day with their newest donut of the year, "Snow Flurries."

Although we loved the cookie-flavored donuts the brand launched for the holidays, we're ready for something different for the new year. And boy did we get it! The seasonal treat is a frosted donut with arctic blue frosting and white snowflake sprinkles. So not only is this our preferred kind of snow, but it's also a picture-perfect snack for 'Gramming on cold, blustery mornings. And although you might be taken by the wintery blue, you'll be pleased to learn it's made without any artificial dyes or colorings.

Yep, this year Dunkin' is removing synthetic dyes from products on its menu including its donut icings, fillings, and toppings. In addition, frozen drinks like the Coolata, baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee flavorings will also remove artificial coloring from the mix.

Although this is just the first of the seasonal donut launches for Dunkin', we're quite sure more are on the way. Think back to last year's spring launches (Chocolate Pretzel Donuts and Peanut Butter Delight Croissant Donuts!), as well as the fall's Halloween goodies and pumpkin treats. Yeah, we're quite hopeful for 2018!
