Is there anything better than finding a great beauty product? There's just something super satisfying about finding a product that truly suits you. Searching for it, on the other hand, can be a nightmare. From color and style, to reviews and history (not to mention cost), the path to the perfect beauty product can be a complex one. Often, it's the most expensive makeup that's the most coveted and trusted. Whether it's that beautiful Chanel lipstick or the MAC eyeshadow palette, it's easy to get caught up in the packaging and price when purchasing makeup.

Over here at Influenster we've never been the type to blindly follow the crowd. We wondered: was there truth behind the price tags and packaging of high-end beauty brands? Or could we get the same results and achieve the same looks with drug store beauty brands?

In order to find out, we pitted high-end beauty products against some of our favorite budget-friendly brands. In the Battle of the Brands series, we'll try to create identical looks using beauty products from both high and low price points. This week we'll be putting COVERGIRL up against luxury brands like Chanel, benefit, bareMinerals, and Bobbi Brown. Scroll down to see the results!

This is the first of several rounds of Battle of the Brands, so stay tuned to see if your favorite brands are featured in the coming week!

There's a more than $70 difference between each look! Can you guess which look cost more to make? Scroll down when you're ready to see the products used for a little more help.

Here's what was used to create each look. In order to create looks that were most similar, we tried to match the colors of the lipsticks, brow fillers, eyeliners, and mascaras. Still can't guess which look matches which products? See the results below.

High-End Products:

1. Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara

2. benefit Brow Zings Shaping Kit

3. bareMinerals Lasting Line Eyeliner

4. Chanel Lipstick in Rouge Coco Gabrielle

1. Full Lash Bloom by LashBlast Mascara

2. Bombshell POW-der Brow + Liner by LashBlast in Medium Brown

3. Bombshell POW-der Brow + Liner by LashBlast in Black

4. Coloricious Lipstick in Tempt Berry

On Buying Habits: I don't splurge on makeup often, but I do take the occasional trip to Sephora here and there to treat myself. If I am going to splurge, it's usually on a mascara or lipstick shade I've had my eye on for a while.

On the Products: I really enjoyed the COVERGIRL brow + liner and mascara more than their pricier counterparts. I felt the benefit brow filler allows for more freedom in terms of color and shape, however I really like how easy the COVERGIRL brow filler is to use and think the shade suits my brows better. The shape of the COVERGIRL brow filler really makes it easy to use. In terms of makeup, I think the less room for error the better. Although the lipsticks are slightly different in shade they felt extremely similar, if not exactly the same when applying - an interesting epiphany considering the Chanel is about 5x the price!

Reccomendation: If I had to recommend one product to a friend it would definitely be the COVERGIRL brow + liner. For only $10 you can get an amazing brow filler AND an eyeliner?! What's not to love?

Bombshell POW-der Brow + Liner by LashBlast in Black/Medium Brown - This is the ultimate multi-tasker. From softly lining the eyes in black to filling my brows in brown for a natural look, I loved it all. The powder does just as well staying on lashes as well as skin, so don't worry about your brows or eyeliner fading. This little liner is all you need to take your beauty looks from blah to BAM.

Full Lash Bloom by LashBlast Mascara - This mascara is truly one of a kind. With Full Lash Bloom you can get beautifully full, soft, and natural-looking lashes. The new soft-set formula features natural beeswax to provide buildable volume that doesn't give a hard or clumpy look. Definitely a must-buy for any makeup maven!

COVERGIRL Coloricious Lipstick in Tempt BerryThe Coloricious Lipstick gives you all the moisture you need without sacrificing a killer color palette. From nudes and pinks to red and plums, the Coloricious lipstick collection's 36 trendy shades have you covered. For just $7 they are perfect for combining, collecting, and blending colors so pick up as many as you can!
