Sometimes we save, sometimes we splurge. With our favorite makeup products though, sometimes we wonder - is it worth it? Whether you shop at the drug store or the department store, you have to agree that finding a great beauty product is something you immediately want to tell your friends about.
At Influenster, we're all about helping you discover those great beauty products, so we decided to compare some of our favorite beauty brands of varying price points to see if high quality is always assigned to a higher price tag. In this round of Battle of the Brands: Save vs Splurge, we pit one of our favorite drugstore brands, COVERGIRL, against some higher priced brands like Bobbi Brown and Chanel.
Our Content Editor Nicole achieved her two looks on completely different budgets. In fact, one is almost 5x the price of the other! Can you guess which one was created for just $33 and which was created for $150? Scroll down to take a closer look at the products used to create each look.
Here's a closer peek at the products used to create each of the makeup looks above. Can you tell which were used in which look? Are any part of your daily routine? Are there some you CAN'T live without? Be sure to give them a review if you've tried them. Either way, scroll down to see the results!

On Buying Habits: I'm a drugstore girl all the way, though I usually make decisions about products based on what colors are available rather than specific brands. I love creamy, neutral eye shadows and mascaras that make my otherwise pale features stand out.
I think of expensive beauty products as better quality -- if I'm paying more for them, then they better make me more beautiful! (And last longer.) I've found through doing this story that this isn't always the case!
On the Products: The high-end brands seemed more intense. The eye liner was thicker, the mascara as well, but when all was said and done, I didn't see a huge difference in how I looked. And for me, that's really the most important thing.
Recommendations: The COVERGIRL Full LashBloom by LashBlast mascara is amazing. I loved how it made my lashes look and thanks to the new formula, my lashes weren't ever dry. Plus, bonus: it wiped off really easily at the end of the day.
