Getting Ready For a Party is About to Get a Lot Easier

This is SO cool.

You know that BFF who is always up to date with trends, can make the perfect mascara recommendation when you're on the hunt, and knows you so well, she's able to make all her suggestions perfect for you? Yep, we all have a special person like that in our life. Unfortunately, it's not always possible to have your beauty BFF with you 24/7. But thanks to Coty (the beauty brand behind Clairol, RimmelSally Hansen, and more) you might just be able to get the custom beauty advice you need without ringing up your bestie every five minutes!

Just last week, Coty announced it has teamed up with Amazon to launch Let’s Get Ready, a brand new visual skill designed specifically for Amazon's Echo Show designed to provide U.K. users (sorry, US fans—it's only available across the pond—for now!) with an on-demand, totally customized beauty experience. Let's Get Ready becomes that virtual beauty BFF who can provide real-time beauty look, trend, and product suggestions via the stunning visuals of the Echo Show.

So how does it work? Simply download the Let's Get Ready skill for your Echo Show and tell Alexa “Alexa, let’s get ready"—seriously, it's that easy. From there, you can ask for what's trending in the beauty world or get a personalized beauty look based on whatever event you're headed to.

And it's all customized to you. Based on your hair, eye, skin tone, and what you're getting ready for, you can get more than 2,000 unique combinations of curated looks, how-to steps, and beauty tips. And here's where it gets even better: you can even get product recommendations from your favorite brands like Clairol, Rimmel, Max Factor, Bourjois and Sally Hansen to make shopping a breeze.

And although sadly, it's only available in the U.K on the Echo Show (as well as all other Echo devices, just without the visuals), here's to hoping it makes its way over to us in the U.S. soon because hey, we all need that beauty BFF from time to time, if you ask us!
