March 7th may be National Cereal Day in the United States, but that doesn't mean you can't celebrate the breakfast goodness all year long. In fact, 2.9 BILLION boxes of cereal are sold every year! Cereal began finding it's way to breakfast tables in the U.S. in the 1800s as a way to combat meat-heavy diets and the resulting health issues that accompanied them. It wasn't until 1939, however, that sugar entered the mix, broadening cereal's appeal to everyone in the family. Now, cereal is consumed for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and every meal in between. You can find it in bowl, bar and drink form. We've rounded up a few fun ways you can get your cereal fix any day.

For the Classic Cereal Lover

If you're a bowl-and-spoon purist, its hard to beat a solid pour of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and tens of thousands of Influenster members agree. Tori S. says "Let's be real, this is a cereal for kids. Let's be more real, I hide this cereal in the back of my pantry and eat it after my son goes to bed so I don't have to share. Don't judge me! Cinnamon Toast Crunch has less calories than my other go to bedtime snack of ice cream so I don't feel as guilty when I eat it. After tucking my son in a few times (how is he always DYING of thirst the minute he lays down? It has to be a medical condition) I grab a bowl, flip on Bachelor in Paradise, pour a glass of wine (pairs well with red OR white), and settle in to my happy place. But don't tell because this cereal is for kids."

Another Influenster member favorite? Frosted Flakes. Whether you add your own strawberries and granola like Lauren C. or keep it simple like Dakota E., it's tough to go wrong with Tony the Tiger by your side.

For those looking for sweetness with a little less sugar, Honey Nut Cheerios is always a popular pick. Hannah C. says "I absolutely LOVE Honey Nut Cheerios! My mom used to make me eat plain cheerios as a child so as I grew up I kept sneaking sugar into my bowl. After finding the Honey Nut Cheerios I don't have to add anything!! They are so delicious when paired with skim milk or almond milk! I've always had a sweet tooth and I like to think that this cereal is a healthier alternative to chocolate."

For On-the-Go Cereal Fans

If you can't be bothered with keeping milk in the house, or need something you can grab-and-go, a bar or drink might be a more convenient choice. Lucky O. reaches for Cap'n Crunch Treats, saying, "These are really good. Great little snack for on the go. Kids love them. These little cereal bars can be quite addictive. They taste just like the cereal only a little sweeter and compact. Like a really crunchy rice crispy treat but made out of this cereal..."

For those looking for the perfect blend of cereal sweetness in a protein shake form, look no further than Carnation Breakfast Essentials new Golden Grahams, Krave, Frosted Flakes, and Fruit Loops flavored drinks. Its like drinking that milk at the bottom of the cereal - but with 10g of protein!
