We hear so much about wines and food , but what about pairing with seasons? Here are a list of wines ranging from full-bodied white to light/medium bodied reds:
Viognier: full-bodied white wine with hints of tangerine, peach, mango, honeysuckle, rose, and vanilla.
Best paired with: Roasted chicken, lobster, poached salmon, and pork chop
Oaked Chardonnay: rich and full-bodied and has additional flavors of butter, vanilla, and caramel from the oak
Best paired with: Chicken breast, turkey breast, trout, sturgeon, lobster, crab, etc.
Pinot Noir: translucent and have subtle flavors of cranberry, cherry, raspberry, vanilla, clove, and caramel. (You can also taste the French Oak!)
Best paired with: Anything!
Sparkling Wines: have two characteristics—light and peppy or rich and creamy. The perfect sparkling wines include Cava, Brut, Prosecco, Sparking Rose, and Reserva.
Best paired with: Crab, duck, chicken, scallops, and salads
