1. Ankle Boots
No closet is complete without an simple black ankle boot. These staples can be worn to any occasion. Tuck your skinny jeans into them or pair them with a cute dress for a perfect fall look. Payless has this Remi Ankle Zip boot for only $29.99. If you’re looking for something a little different, consider ordering them in Navy Suede. Navy is a great neutral alternative to black! Coming in at $69.00 (although they are on sale for less through October 4th!) are these White Mountain Daze Booties from Macy’s! If you’re looking to spend a little more on a pair of boots try these ‘Dynamite’ Ankle Booties from Nordstrom for $164.95. Their classic lines and durable construction will take you anywhere!
2. Riding Boots
The later into fall it gets, the higher the boot you’ll want to wear. Riding boots offer a timeless silhouette and we can’t get enough! These Kelly & Katie Faith riding boots are only $59.95 from DSW. They are a great all around boot that won’t stretch your budget. For $129.00 you could own these Naturalizer Veracruze tall boots from Macy’s. Their strap accent gives them a great western aesthetic that will pair perfectly with everything from leggings to long skirts! These Sam Edelman’s Ryan Riding Boots are our top-budget pick at $200 from Bloomingdale’s. Although the price is high, their clean lines and lug sole combine to make a timeless boot you’ll wear for years to come.
3. Burgundy Chelsea Boots
Burgundy is a huge color for shoes this fall. We love this color on a suede Chelsea boot, they’re the perfect statement shoes to accompany these brisk autumn days! Starting off the list are these platform boots from H&M. At $34.99 they will make a statement without breaking the bank! Our favorite on the list are these ASOS Right About Now Chelsea ankle boots in oxblood. They will transition easily from day to night and their bright suede is a good deal at $69.00. If you’re looking for something a little more muted, check out the Sam Edelman ‘Hanley’ Chelsea boot from Nordstrom. Their sangria color is more flexible in your wardrobe, but their $129.95 price tag makes them the most expensive of these picks!
4. Combat Boots
You can never go wrong with a good combat boot. Luckily, you can find combat boots at any price point, at $34.99 these Brash boots from Payless are a great deal without compromising a stylish look! These ASOS Aerodrome lace up boots are $81.00 and heavier in appearance than their Payless compatriots. But topping out at $288.00, these ‘Tyler’ boots by Frye from Zappos are way pricier than the other options, but their handcrafted quality and genuine leather are guaranteed to last you more than one season!
5. Weatherproof Boots
Boots may be made for walking, but that’s not all they do! Sometimes you need a pair that are just for fun, especially on cold rainy days. Rain boots don’t have to be boring, Circus by Sam Edelman’s Quinn rain boots are available in shimmery transparent colors. For only $50.00 at Macy’s they are a fun alternative to traditional rain boots. Brighten up those grey days with NoSoX’s Mist boot, these fun rubber Chelsea boots have accent color soles for only $70.00 at Zappos. One of our favorite trends this season are rain boots that don’t look like rain boots! These Kate Spade Sedgewick Glitter Rain Boots are a super fun alternative to wellies, but their $175.00 price tag at Bloomingdale’s definitely makes them a splurge!
