Although this is usually at the forefront during the hotter months, this one is quickly forgotten when the temperatures drop. 3. Use sunscreen.
Make this the year you stop skin damage. Using sunscreen is an easy way to ensure skin health and beauty not only in 2015, but also for many many years to come. Even if you're going to be on vacation for a short period of time keep in mind those harmful UV rays never take a day off.
4. Do your research.

5. See a professional.
We're all for the at-home treatment, but once in a while it's nice to get a professional opinion. Whether its for a simple mani pedi, a waxing, or a make-up consultation, take time to see a professional and hear their advice, product suggestions, and tips.

We often associate a higher price tag with a higher quality product. While this is sometimes true, there are many exceptions to the rule.

9. Focus on the fit and look -- not the size or price tag.
We often get caught up in being a certain size or buying something because it has a certain price on the tag. Forget about the numbers! Buy things because they fit well, not because they have some arbitrary number on them. This will free you from limiting yourself while shopping. You might even discover that another size or lower priced brand suits you better.
10. Throw away old make up.
It can be hard to part with your favorite lipstick or eyeliner, but when it's time, let them go. Keeping old make-up smushed in your cabinet or make-up bag isn't beneficial to you or your beauty products. Can you say germs? Gross. Plus, if you make room you might even discover something you like even more!
11. Clean your brushes properly and regularly.
Brushes are a breeding ground for bacteria, and when they get dirty, it can wreak havoc on your face. This year, vow to clean your brushes at least once a month. 12. Stop picking off your polish
Who isn't guilty of this terrible habit? We know we are. Here's the thing though: picking off your polish (especially if it's gel) really destroys your nails. So stop doing it! Instead, invest in some good polish or a quality manicure and then as soon as it starts to chip, take if off with remover.
13. Wash your makeup off every single night.
