Red carpet makeup artists and top models have a keen knowledge of nearly every beauty product available in foreign pharmacies and department stores. From tip-top makeup removers, to miracle working moisturizers, they know the in’s to effortless beauty. So, of course, when they spill their best-kept secrets to flawless skin, we’re all eyes and ears!

We did some extensive research to see what products they’re using behind the scenes. Let’s take a peek inside some of the pros personal stashes!

1. Bioderma Sensibio H20

Bioderma Sensibio H20

How much: $20

The Scoop: You shouldn’t need to use much force to remove your makeup. London-based makeup artist Lisa Eldridge told Beautylish, “Bioderma Sensibio H2O takes everything off in one go and isn’t harsh on your skin, so you can use it over and over again.”

This French pharmacy favorite is filled with oil-molecules in a water-based solution. The professionals like using this on models in between fashion shows to remove makeup to avoid redness and rawness. Similar to a toner, Sensibio H2O also refreshes the skin while it cleanses your face for a bright and smoother finish.

Bonus tip: You’ll need different shades of it! He recommends one shade to match your complexion, one shade lighter, and one in a shade darker because your skin changes with the seasons! Then, you need one shade warmer under your eyes.

The Scoop: “It’s just the best,” model Cara Delevingne told Byrdie. The product is made entirely of fermented papayas and has been a popular item in Australia since 1906! It’s used to treat cuts and scrapes, diaper rashes, cracked skin, and as a wrinkle cream. Not only is it great for skin care corrections, but makeup artists are even using it to turn smoky eyes glossy, add non-shimmering radiance to cheekbones, and to plump up lips.

5. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant

How much: $19.50

The Scoop: This moisturizer is a miracle worker! According to Beautylish, it was the first product by Arden, and it was an immediate success! It works to relieve cracked skin, soothing skin irritations, reducing roughness and comforting abrasions.  Ms. Arden herself even used it on her horse's legs to help soothe them!

But, it doesn’t just stop at fixing all of skin’s pesky irritations. It even makes for the most versatile makeup product. Makeup artist, James Vincent, said he uses it in nearly every application, “on clients from Lady Gaga to Barack Obama.”  He uses it as a weather protector, glow giver, eye opener, lip scrubber, body highlighter, overnight healer and age concealer.
