Beauty 101: Tontouring
Defined cheekbones without genetics or makeup? Beauty gurus are indeed going there. Tontouring isn't technically a new technique, but it's definitely something worth gabbing about. Here at Influenster, we're always intrigued by trends and culture. And, although it might not be the technique for you, we still think it's fun to entertain the thought. Allow us to break it down for you.
What it is:
It's a semi-permanent way to master the contour look without wearing makeup. The idea is to use self-tanning products to give you a makeup-free sculpt. The process defines the cheekbones and nose and enhances the overall structure of the face.
How to do it:
First, apply a gradual tanner to the entire face. This ultimately works as the base of your skin, so the next product you use won’t look too harsh. Then, add a darker mousse formula close to the hairline. Lastly, finish the look using an angled contouring brush to shade the nose and sculpt the cheeks. If it looks harsh at first, blend in with your fingers. In a few hours, you’ll see a natural-looking contour that won’t wash off at the end of the day.
