You likely already know that October is Eczema Awareness month, but did you know that it's also National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month? In an effort to raise awareness to both causes, cult-classic skincare brand Avène launches the Kindness Is Power initiative.
As an expansion of the brand's #AveneHope program, the Kindness is Power initiative supports the KIND Campaign—a national anti-bullying movement. The program was also inspired by an Avène user and eczema sufferer, 12-year-old Carissa. In a heart-warming video, Carissa tells her story of how she's had to battle both eczema and bullying. You can see Carissa's story in the video above.
In honor of National Bullying Prevention Month, Avène has committed to donating 100% of proceeds from limited-edition kits (like this one ⬆️) to the @KindCampaign, whose mission is to bring awareness and healing to the negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl bullying. These special kits are inspired by Carissa’s regimen of soothing essentials that help reinforce her confidence and strength to overcome. In an effort to support Carissa and other eczema sufferers like her, Avène is donating 100 percent of the proceeds of a specially designed Kindness is Power #AveneHope tote bag, Avène Thermal Spring Water, and a selection of Avène XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing skincare products to benefit the KIND Campaign starting October 9th through October 31st.
