We're Just Going to Say It: Apple's Our Unsung Hero of Fall

Move over pumpkin

Apples and pumpkins are seemingly on the same team, but we're picking sides. Pumpkin can easily be labeled the Marsha of the festive fall bunch. Once autumn hits it's just all about pumpkin all of the time. With its limited-edition lattes and Halloween mascot-like reputation, pumpkin doesn't seem to leave room for much else.

But we're flipping the script and devoting a little fall love and attention to the apple. It's crisp, it's sweet, it tastes good straight off of the tree or baked in a pie. Apple is just giving us all of the fall feels we want and need. So, step aside pumpkin, here's some ways to enjoy and celebrate apple scents and flavors all season long.

In the tub:

Lather up with Philosophy's Apple Cider 3 in 1 Shampoo Bath and Shower Gel and bring moisture to dried out strands with Briogeo's Be Gentle, Be Kind Kale + Apple Superfood Smoothie Conditioner.

Or immerse yourself in apple goodness with Ulta's Crisp Apple Body Wash and Lotion pairing and say goodnight to tired skin with Laneige's Lip Apple Sleeping Mask.

Around the house:

Let the inviting scent of apple fill your home with Yankee's Candle Macintosh Home Fragrance Oil or Nest's Apple Blossom 3-Wick Candle. And keep hands clean and smelling sweet with Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Liquid Hand Soap in Apple Cider.

In the kitchen:

Toast to fall with one of these Apple Cider favorites or step up the classic fall beverage with this Spiced Apple Cider Snow Cones recipe.

Indulge in a slice of apple pie, check out these best store-bought pie options, or wake up to your favorite fall flavor every day with a bowl of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios Cereal.

At the orchard:

And get ready for some apple picking fun by bringing along your very own Reusable Fruit String Grocery Shopper—we won't judge if you use it for apple cider donuts instead. PS: There's no cute way to tote a pumpkin around... we're just saying.

Which fall favorite is your pick? Are you more of a pumpkin or apple fan? Sound off in the comments.
