Some people are addicted to getting out of the shower and dragging a brush through their wet locks. STOP! When your hair is wet it is extra vulnerable. The water weakened the bonds in the hair and when you brush through there can be major damage that leads to breakage and frizz.

We know your blow dryer isn't actually spewing flames..but if you’re using the hottest setting to dry your hair straight out of the shower you may as well be. Celebrity stylist Felicia Leatherwood says that blasting your hair with ultra hot air leads to dryness frizz and breakage, oh my!
Either let your hair air dry until it is just a little damp and then blow dry or rough dry your hair at a lower temperature and turn up the heat when styling. Dailymakeover suggests to always apply a heat protectant, this will help with any heat damage. A good blow dryer will always make a difference in your hair as well!
PROBLEM: You’re A Pony Tail Addict
If a classic perky pony is your go to look you may be damaging your lock. According to STYLECASTER, if you're making your ponytail too tight and in the same spot too often you can permanently damage your hair because you are pulling your strands too tight and not letting them relax!
