Review for Sunday Riley C.E.O. C + E antiOXIDANT Protect + Repair Moisturizer - 1 year ago

This stuff smells like Fruit Loops!

Ok, hahaha. It's creamy as heck and sinks in very quickly. You'll see a noticable improvement in the brightness of your skin pretty quickly, I saw changes in about three weeks of using every morning. I know that is pricey but I always select it as my free gift when I cash in my points at Sephora.
I love Sunday Riley. Their products are pricey but they work. This stuff is better and more effective than The Ordinary's vitamin C products, smells better and doesn't sting.

Mascara can be very divisive. If you like Better Than Sex, this is the dupe. My suggestion to you is curl your lashes first and immediately use the waterproof formula or they will droop, especially if they are pretty long to begin with. I feel like my photo speaks for itself, I didn't go out of my way to do anything different the morning I took it. My lashes are always this long when I wear this mascara.

Review for: Demure more...
I am definitely not trying to brag when I say this but I have easily over 200 lipsticks in all kinds of formulas. I love lipstick.
This is the best liquid lipstick I have ever put on. Hard stop.

It smells like candy or baked goods. You know how the Bare Minerals nudes smell like brownies? Just as delicious. It is so creamy and dries down to a matte consistency. It does not budge and it does not dry your lips out. I feel like that is the most over-used and lied about statement, "it doesn't dry your lips out". I am telling you, it does not dry your lips out. I FORGOT I WAS WEARING LIPSTICK when I had this on. I don't think that has ever happened to me before.

I received the shade Demure in my Boxycharm box, so I did not pick this out. It is incredibly flattering and I will be ordering more from this brand. I ran to review this because I want other people to experience this product, haha.

[My other favorite formulas are the Tarteist Lip Paints (the re-vamped version), the NYX soft matte lip creams and Dose of Colors liquid lipsticks (Dose of Colors can be shade dependent...). My least favorites are some shades of the colourpop ultra mattes (so streaky), the NYX Lip lingerie line (too drying).] Other brands, STEP YOUR GAME UP! Now we know how good it can be, hahaha.

Review for Tom Ford Black Orchid Eau De Parfum - 1 year ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
I want to start off by saying I was initially VERY disappointed in this product. I had accidentally bought the wrong perfume because one of their other versions' packaging is incredibly similar. Anyway, I brought this home and pouted because the retailer didn't accept returns. I sprayed it and literally hated it. It smelled SO HEAVY and made the whole car stink. My boyfriend, who is pretty take it or leave it about most perfumes, said that it was actually really really nice and I should give it a shot, since I had nothing to lose.
This is my go-to perfume and has been for months and multiple seasons. It is very elegant without being too mature. I'm not sure I'm very good at articulating what I mean with scents because I'm not really a perfume expert... but I will give it my best shot.
It smells exactly like I would imagine a beautifully furnished and elegant dressing room would smell. It smells rich and a little calming, like sensual almost? I feel like the advertising should have a woman in a black dress seated in front of a mirror and looking over her shoulder. It's not musky. I hate musky perfumes. It's not incredibly floral, I am not really into bright, florally perfumes except for Chloe. It smells like a night-time, sexy date perfume that you could get away with wearing during the day.
I feel like it is almost WEIRD that I love this because I am very casual dresser. I am a jeans and plain shirt kind of woman, probably the exact opposite of elegant unless I absolutely have to dress up for a dinner or a work event. My last favorite perfumes were the Nirvana collection from Elizabeth and James (both black and white), the Tory Burch eau de parfum and the Miu Miu spray that is literally always one of the free samples, do you know which one I'm talking about? The "mysterious" one, as it is described on Sephora.

I find it very strong, one spray lasts me all day. I even spray it before I go to the gym and I can still smell it after I shower.

Review for: Illuminati - iridescent silver and champagne more...
This product is NO JOKE. You do not need much. Tap your brush off... then tap it off again! I will probably have this product for the rest of my life. There are larger sparkles in here so if that is not your thing, just be aware. It is VERY luminous. I don't reach for this product when I highlight, I think mostly because I don't use loose powders for anything.
I am taking away one star because I find it messy and because you can blend it away.

Review for: Fantastic Plastic Pink, Apri-Cot in the Middle, Pearlescent Pink, Rosé Champagne more...
They are so natural looking and flattering. They blend out perfectly and they are buildable. Apri-cot in the middle is my favorite shade, with mellow wine as a close runner-up. I prefer a very natural make up look and gravitate toward warmer colors. Rose Champagne is almost a highlighter, I use it to blend another shade up onto my cheekbones. It is pearlescent but not glittery. They do not de-pot easily. I wish I could pop them out and put them into a z-palette but it's ok. The packaging is kind of cheap and the cover for two of them is popping off but I can get over that, as well. I think it would shatter if I tried to travel with it so I baby them. They are on par with Benefit blushes, if you use those. I bought Apri-cot in the middle right when it was released and then again when I realized it was my favorite blush ever and the shade was a liiiiittle different. I preferred the first version but it's almost imperceptible so that's just a personal thing I'll have to get over.

Review for Too Faced Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette - 1 year ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
I wanted to wait until I had used it for awhile before I left a review. I owned the Too Faced Peach palette and this looked right up my alley. I was afraid at first that they would be too similar and I would be wasting my money. I did pick it up because every shade looked like one that I would wear.
I do wear every shade. I wear at least one of these shades every day and I have had this palette for six months. I am no where near hitting pan on any of them, they are pretty pigmented. (I use Urban Decay primer and set with powder before going in with these shades.)
This is a really good, go-to daytime palette. They blend nicely and maintain their pigment. All of the tones are very flattering, in my opinion. There are three different shades that I can use for transitions - if you are newer to makeup and still perfecting your blending techniques I think this is a great palette because you can use the different shades to make it very easy for yourself. (In the photo I've attached, my right eye looks unblended but my iphone always makes it look more harsh than it does in person.) You can use peach meringue to blend up and out all the way to the brow bone. Peach tart and chocolate dipped are great to use applied directly to the lash line, giving a subtle eyeliner effect.
I have hit pan on many of the softer shades in my peaches and cream palette (white peach, nectar, puree, summer yum). If you liked the puree and peaches n cream shades in your peach palette then I suggest you pick up the peachy mattes because they are VERY close but not exact dupes. Puree is deeper than all of the browns in the peachy matte except for the two all the way to the right.

The advertising is 100% on point, I do love this more than my Z palette! It feels much more sturdy and the mirror is amazing. I absolutely love this so much that I bought two more and one for my best friend. I plan on buying more in the future, if it is still available.

It's so affordable for what it is!!!

Review for: Creme Brulee, Cannelle more...
I am 31 with combination skin. My undereyes are dry unless I use an eye cream right before application of any concealer.

This is still my holy grail concealer. It is creamier than Shape Tape and less drying. It is better coverage than any Becca highlighter. There are dupes, but the dupes do not last as long for me and they crease up quicker than this concealer.
All concealers do crease on me, eventually. This may be because I am VERY emotive with my facial expressions or because I have 31-year old skin! This concealer is no exception but I can get a good 3-4 hours without any creasing. I set it with RCMA powder or the Kat von D lightening powder and it does not look cakey. You may be able to get away with not setting it at all.

My perfect shade match for foundation in the summer is Too Faced's Born This Way in Porcelain. Cannelle is brighter and appears a little more yellow but it looks really good against my skin tone. I was hesitant to choose that shade because of how yellow it looked under the lights in Ulta but it was a great match. Creme brulee is much pinker toned compared to Cannelle so if you are in between shades and you have yellow undertones, I would go with the latter.
