I signed up to get the first box free, only paying shipping. I've since received one more box because they enticed me with an extra free polish. I am going to cancel my subscription though, because I do not feel that their products are worth the price.
I didn't own a top coat or base when I received my first box. The polish started chipping very quickly and I was very disappointed. In my second box I switched out colors for a base and top coat. The polish lasts longer now and looks much better. I still don't feel like it's worth the price of the box.
I wish they allowed you to cancel your subscription online. I really dislike having to call a number just to cancel. I am uncomfortable talking to strangers on the phone and also tend to get talked into purchasing additional items rather than cancelling. I feel they make you call because people like me will sometimes put it off and pay for more boxes rather than calling the number.
While I enjoyed the series, I was not completely enthralled with it. It seemed to drag at times. I found it easy to put the books down at times, which means they weren't capturing my full attention. At other times I was really into the story and the characters and found myself reading faster trying to see what would happen. I was hopeful when the first movie came out. I was disappointed after seeing it. The book's version of the story was a lot better than the movie version.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy pop tarts. I think they taste good and my children love them. I buy each of my children a box each month. But, they are not very nutritious. They contain way more sugar and sodium than other treats I would would normally choose for my kids. Also, if they eat a pack of two pastries, that is 400 calories or more! That is why they only get the one box a month. It is a treat, not a breakfast option at our home.
