Hi, I'm Anthea! I'm a native Californian who is passionate about chemistry and skincare, as well as beauty. I love helping others find products that will be effective for them and I enjoy learning about the science behind my favorite cosmetics.
I have this in the shade Opal and it is a beautiful natural golden color. I could see it working for almost every skintone! This a a dewy but intense highlight and a little goes a very long way. I only use the tiniest dot on my cheekbones. It is a great value for the price because it will take you forever to use it up. I've heard people say this formula would be best for dry skin but I have oily skin and it works well for me too. The only reason I took off one star is that sometimes when I apply it over my base makeup it disturbs the makeup underneath.
I love the way this makes my hair feel! I leave it in for just over 5 minutes and after I dry my hair it feels so soft and silky. Unfortunately I didn't notice a huge difference in how my hair looks, only how it feels. If this were at a cheaper price point I might rebuy but I'd rather use a deep conditioner that has a visible effect as well. However if you have fine hair, you might love this because it is light and not greasy or heavy like some hair masks can be.
Review for: The Beautyblender&Reg; Solid&Reg; more...
This is my absolute holy grail makeup tool. I was skeptical about paying $20 for a little sponge at first but I'm so glad I did. The sponge is durable and makes it so easy to apply foundation. I find that the finish of foundation applied with the Beautyblender is much more flawless than when I apply foundation with my fingers or a brush, Also, it is great for applying powder without disturbing the rest of your makeup, This is seriously a game-changer and a product that's worth the splurge.
I like these all right and I use them for concealing and in hard to reach places like the sides of my nose and under my eyes but I just don't think they're necessary. They don't do anything the original BeautyBlender doesn't. I do use them sometimes but I just don't reach for them that often because I don't need them. Plus they are so tiny that it is easy to misplace them. Overall I think this product is a good idea but is better in concept than execution, and they are expensive for what you get.
I bought this as a face scrub, but soon decided it was too harsh to use on my face. I'm not disappointed, though, because this is great as a body scrub! It has the most refreshing scent and I love the blue-green color. I also noticed that it moisturizes my skin and doesn't leave it dried out like some scrubs. The fact that it's all natural only makes it better!
These are a staple in my skincare routine. Even when I don't use them on my whole face, I still remove at least my eye makeup with them. I haven't tried anything else that can get my waterproof eyeliner and mascara off as easily as these. They're exactly what a good makeup removing wipe should be :) I wouldn't recommend using them as your only cleanse though!
It's effective and gentle. It doesn't irritate or burn my sensitive eyes, which I love. It does struggle to completely remove my mascara though, so I think it could be a little better in that aspect. The value is pretty good, but I don't know if I'd repurchase because there are drugstore eye makeup removers I enjoy just as much.
I like these, but they are very strongly flavored and hot as well as sweet. If you're a huge ginger fan, you'd love them, but the average person probably wouldn't. The texture is a little odd as well. It's very chewy, which is also only going to appeal to certain people. That being said, I still really like them. They're different from anything else I've tried and I like having something like that every once and a while.
Holy grail status right here! And I'm not one to say that lightly. I'm a huge fan of highlighters but I am picky about them as well-I hate anything with chunks of glitter or an unnatural color that leaves a stripe on the cheekbones. This is the exact opposite of that. It has the most beautiful, dewy finish and it looks so natural; it has to be the most natural looking highlight I've ever tried. It doesn't emphasize my pores like some powder highlights, and the color (Quartz) is perfect for my fair skin. Plus, it's so easy to use. It practically blends itself! I would definitely recommend it and am planning to repurchase when mine runs out.
As a mask, I don't find this particularly special...but it really shines as a night cream! I have oily, acne-prone skin and was worried it would be too heavy but after leaving it on all night I wake up with smooth, plump, bouncy skin. I think the squalane in this mask is what really works for my skin. I use it whenever I feel like I need a boost of hydration. It feels so cool and refreshing going on and soothes any redness or sensitivity. If you've tried it as a mask and didn't like it, I suggest you give it a shot as a night cream because that's where it really stood out for me.
