Um not super enthusiastic about this because I find it irritating to my skin. It may be because I am currently pregnant and my skin does weird things. I've shelved it for now and will try it again after baby comes.
After swearing I would never buy another UD palette again, I bought into the hype and got this. I am not disappointed in the slightest. This totally met and exceeded expectations. I am impressed by the pigmentation and blendability of the colors, and how well they suit me. The packaging is phenomenal - I like how it feels in my hand, the size of the mirror, and overall color scheme. Now I'm thinking seriously about getting the other palettes in the Naked series.
I feel like I need to play with this a bit more before I make a final judgment, but so far I am enjoying the colors. Most of them are my favorites from the Modern Renaissance palette, but there's a few new favorite shades in there too. I'm not super impressed at how the glittery shades seem to crumble to bits even if I touch my brush to them lightly. It makes it hard to pick up any color and even if I do, I get a lot of fallout. I really want to love this palette so I'm going to experiment some more and see where it takes me.
WOWZAH. I am IN LOVE. I love mattes and does this palette ever deliver. The colors are fabulous and are really flattering on me. I love the formula - soooooo buttery soft, super pigmented and absolutely wonderful for blending. And oh, the peach scent! Heavenly!
First off, the packaging is an absolute dream. I love all things mermaid and this has my inner child just screaming with joy. The colors and pay off are just what you'd expect from tarte - wonderful quality and great staying power as always! I really do wish the colors were more...Well, varied. I feel like I've seen the majority of these colors in other tarte palettes. Mostly though, I love it and love playing with it!
I got this as a 100 point reward at Sephora. I like that the tiny jar is lasting forever. I like the scent and the texture of the cream. It irritates my skin mildly but I think that has to do more with pregnancy related rosacea than anything else.
