I work in a scent free workplace and so it is important to me to not aggravate the allergies of my coworkers, and also to not smell bad. I dont wear antiperspirant as I do not want to increase my risk for breast cancer.
This has been a staple in my household since I was very young. Even when we couldn't afford many luxuries, my mom always got it. My brothers liked it on cinnamon raisin toast (yuck!) while I like it on a poppyseed bagel.
Review for: Violet Voss The Rainbow Eyeshadow Palette more...
Oh. My. God. I love rainbows with a passion and this...I can't even. I tried it for the first time tonight after a friend urged me to buy it. First off, the size of the pans are HUGE. You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck! (I paid $40 CAD.) The colors are divine. So intense, with fantastic payoff, especially with a good primer. Most shimmery shades have a ton of fallout and need heavy application to show up but not these colors! I'm so happy I got this palette and now I want to try everything Violet Voss.
Oh. My. Gosh. I couldn't stop eating these!!! They're so crunchy and salty and dill pickle-y...I had to go out and buy a second container because I nommed all the way through the first one! *I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. But I would buy again and again!!!
Um not super enthusiastic about this because I find it irritating to my skin. It may be because I am currently pregnant and my skin does weird things. I've shelved it for now and will try it again after baby comes. Update- my baby is here so I've changed my review from 3 stars to 4! I like how my skin gets all dewy and glowy after use, but it still irritates it a bit.
After swearing I would never buy another UD palette again, I bought into the hype and got this. I am not disappointed in the slightest. This totally met and exceeded expectations. I am impressed by the pigmentation and blendability of the colors, and how well they suit me. The packaging is phenomenal - I like how it feels in my hand, the size of the mirror, and overall color scheme. Now I'm thinking seriously about getting the other palettes in the Naked series.
I feel like I need to play with this a bit more before I make a final judgment, but so far I am enjoying the colors. Most of them are my favorites from the Modern Renaissance palette, but there's a few new favorite shades in there too. I'm not super impressed at how the glittery shades seem to crumble to bits even if I touch my brush to them lightly. It makes it hard to pick up any color and even if I do, I get a lot of fallout. I really want to love this palette so I'm going to experiment some more and see where it takes me.
