Review for COVERGIRL Lid Lock Eye Lid Primer - 3 months, 3 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 3
I received this in my Covergirl Holiday VoxBox and I’m super impressed by this shadow primer! I really put it to the test during Christmas because on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th I had my makeup on for at least 12 hours. Let me tell you.... this stuff kept my shadow on, pigmented, and creaseless! It’s a super sticky formula, which I personally really like. The only thing I would warn is when you go to set it, it will really grab whatever powder you use, so be light handed. I’m not kidding when I saw after 12+ hours of wear, in hot crowded houses, while using contact rewetting solution, my eye shadow and eyeliner didn’t move an inch. The only thing I’ll say is I wish it were more pigmented and came in shade range for multiple skin tones. It has a tint, but after usually using a concealer to prime, I did notice my veins and discoloration weren’t covered. Mine aren’t very bad, so it wasn’t a problem for me, but probably will be for others. I would HIGHLY recommend this for the performance and price.

Review for COVERGIRL Melting Pout Metallics Gel Liquid Lipstick - 3 months, 3 weeks ago

Review for: 24 Carat more...
I received this item in a VoxBox for free. At first, I wasn’t very impressed at all, but it kind of grew one me. There are a lot of negatives in my opinion. First off, the formula... I don’t love glosses as it is. This is a heavy, sticky kind of glossy formula. It is pretty pigmented if you compare it to a lot of other glosses. The wear time isn’t impressive, but then again, I wouldn’t assume it would be with the formula. It is pretty comfortable if you don’t mind a tacky feeling on your lips, which some people don’t mind. The color pay off is above what i figured it would be, but I don’t personally like the orange-gold color on myself, however, I used it as a topper for my favorite burgundy-red lipstick and it looked stunning! I also am not crazy about fully opaque glitters/metallics in their own. Another draw back in my opinion was the applicator. It has a sponge tip where the product comes out of the center. This means the applicator gets very messy and gunky after just one use. All in all, I think the product needs more work, but I don’t think it’s horrible. It falls right in the middle for me. If you don’t like this bold color, I highly advise trying it as a topper as shown below!

Review for COVERGIRL TruNaked Smoky Kit Palette - 4 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 3
I received this for free in a VoxBox to review, and i have to say i am IMPRESSED. I literally never buy drugstore eye shadow palettes because, honestly, they’re just not that good. But the pigment on this palette is seriously amazing. I have actually strayed away from the cool tone eye looks lately, but this creates an effortless Smokey cool eye. There is some fall out, but considering how pigmented these shadows are I’m perfectly okay with it. Just put some powder under your eyes or do your face last. This formula is so buttery and blendable like no other drugstore palette I’ve used. I highly recommend. I would definitely purchase others in this line with my own money!

Review for Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner - 4 months, 3 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 3
I like this product more than I expected. When I ordered it, I didn’t realize it was only 3% glycolic avid, which i figures was too small of a dose to make a difference. To my surprise, it tingles upon application, which is a good sign that the glycolic acid is affective at breaking through the first, tough layer of skin. I have a actually seen an improvement in texture in just four uses! I used another AHA product last month, so I’m not anticipating a huge purge phase since that’s only about one natural skin cycle, but we will see. The only drawback is the smell. It smells very dated, like mature women’s perfume. The smell actually reminds me of something my grandmother used before she passed away. Other than that I would highly recommend this product! Still curious to see how a lower dose of glycolic acid continues to work on my skin, but so far, so good! This is priced great too. The smell is also better than the heavy fragrance of the Pixi Glow Tonic.

Review for: Other more...
I just got the Zingara collection and these shadows are AMAZING! The formula is outstanding. They are so creamy and so pigmented. They almost feel like a cream but don’t apply like a cream at all. They also have no fall whatsoever. They had amazing wear time and didn’t crease on me at all. The colors are so beautifully intense but still easy to blend and work with. I have heard that you need to make sure they’re closed very tightly to ensure they don’t dry out. The one draw back is the packaging with them being single shadows. However, I just store them in the original box with my palette collection. All in all these are sooo good! They’re affordable too which is just a plus! They’re one of the best eye shadow formulas I’ve ever tried. Definitely will be recommending and purchasing more!

Review for Maybelline EyeStudio® Master Precise® Liquid Eyeliner - 5 months, 1 week ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 3
This is a great drugstore eye liner. The color is super black and is nice and matte. The tip is very thing and is great for flicking our winged liner. It stays on all day and doesn’t fade or crumble. I️ haven’t had any issues with the felt tip brush splaying or becoming damaged. This is a great product for under $10!

Review for Revlon Colorstay Makeup - 5 months, 1 week ago

I️ have heard such good things about this foundation. I️ really am a fan! The pump is great because I️ hate foundation that doesn’t come in a pump. Also the formula is great for me. However, I️ tend to have combo to oily skin, and accidentally purchased the formula for dry skin. I’m not sure how well it would work on such skin because it works great for me. I️ also worry that maybe the formula for oily skin would be extremely drying and not flattering since the oily formula is so dry already. The coverage is pretty good... it is definitely buildable. It is a really good foundation for under $10!

Review for FOREO LUNA mini - 5 months, 1 week ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 3
I️ absolutely LOVE my Foreo Luna Mini. I️ tried my sister in laws Clarisonic and I️ thought I️ loved it, but after using this, I️ like it way better! First off, it’s great that the whole device is silicone. Not only is it water proof, but it also won’t harbor bacteria. There is so need to buy replacement heads or anything like that so it’s super worth the $99 I️ believe it is now. There are two speeds which is amazing. And it flashes and momentarily stops pulsing every 15 seconds so that you don’t stay on one area too long and damage the skin. Also, the battery like is just insane. I️ love hat it has three different style of touch points. Most of the front has small, super soft ones, the very top has some larger more firm ones, and the back has the largest and most firm touch points for all of your skin needs. It is also so compacts and feels so comfy in the hand. All in all I️ would recommend this to anyone. I️ have sensitive skin and mine does fine with it. This is well worth the money!

Review for tarteist™ blush palette - 5 months, 1 week ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 3
I️ absolutely LOVE this palette! The blushes are on par with their regular Amazonian Clay blushes and the quality is not cut short for holiday. The shades are a perfect medium of pigmented, but not so pigmented that you look clown-ish. They are also very buildable. They are nice and creamy in texture. The packaging is adorable and it’s great to travel with because you can have 4 blush options without bringing 4 individual compacts is blush. I️ would highly recommend!

Review for Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette 12 Unique Shadows - 5 months, 1 week ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 3
I️ was a little disappointed in this palette. I️ have been searching for the perfect warm tone palette and was super excited to get this one. He colors are beautiful but the mattes tend to go on dry and patchy. They are not super creamy and can be buildable but they are more work than I️ usually like. The shimmers feel nice and creamy but they tend to crumble and come off. They definitely need a glitter glue. I️ don’t hate this palette but I️ also don’t live it. All in all I️ wouldn’t recommend but wouldn’t say not to buy it. I️ would leave it up to personal preference. It is always a plus that the shade names are in the palette and it has a huge mirror! The packaging is easy to keep clean and is sturdy enough but not the most sturdy cardboard I have seen.
