I am in search of the Holy Grail makeup and skin care for the mature. When I turned 50, everything changed. My go-to products seemed to up and abondanded me! I believe beauty is ageless. It is about the right products, tools, and application . At 55 it's all about firm, lift, reduce lines, hydrate, and glow! I am on my quest to find products that do just that!
I was looking for powder foundation for the hot days of summer. I decided to try the Laura Mercie Foundation. Let me tell you, it did NOT dissapoint. It provided medium coverage and was buildable. It lasted all day without a finishing spray. Definitely my summer go-to foundation. I purchased at Ulta.
Jimmy Dean Natural Sausage is what I reach for for any dish requiring breakfast sausage. I use it in breakfast casseroles or make patties. The seasoning is perfect. It is reasonably priced and readily available at most local grocery stores.
Hillshire Farm Beef Summer Sausage is my favorite since childhood. The perfect sausage to pair with cheese and crackers. Not too salty. Not too smokey! Beefy Goldilocks perfection. Just right! I purchase mine at my local Kroger's.
Benefits Life's Little Corrector were just such a disappointment. The packaging felt cheap and definitely nit uo to Benefits standards. The correctors are pigmented but seemed to accentuate my fine lines. The missing green color correct was glaringly missing. Everyone could benefit from a red color corrector. (Pun intended) . Definitely did not repurchase.
Urban Decay Vice lip stick is wirth every penny. I have always worn drugstore lipsticks. For my Birthday I decided to splurge and buy a higher-end lipstick. Liar is the perfect medium pink cream suitable for all light to medium skin tones. It is pigmented and feels fantastic on my lips. It wears lime an average lipstick. I purchased mine at Ulta and have added three more to my collection!
NYX Color Correcting palette was a disappointment. The formula is creamy and applies easily. However, it seemed to settle in my fine lines no matter how I applied it. I purchased it on line at Ulta. Needless to say, I did not repurchase it.
The Make Up ForeverArtist Face Color Highlight, Contour, and Blush is the perfect trifecta. I have fair cool skin tone and the contour #116 is the perfect shade for me. It is blendable without looking ashy. Plus absolutely no sparkle! It lasts an average day without setting spray. It is available on Sephora. A three pan palette - contour, blush, & highlight - for $43 (a $71 value) Snag them up while you can.
