I am a 20-something-year-old contractor for the US Army and happily married to the simplest man. My life is full of adventure both indoors and out and I am fully embracing all new experiences. I am primarily plant-based these days but that doesn't stand in the way of my bodybuilding goals. I drive a gas-guzzling Rubicon, but otherwise adore all things renewable and green. I'm redirecting my time on Influenster to hopefully focus on all things fitness and environmental <3
I usually just use baby powder since I'm blonde but I bought this because I wanted more volume on my third day hair. It does give a lot of volume and texture! Very nice scent. Very coconut-y so if you don't like that then pass this up. I don't think this is as nice as the Batiste brand but for the price, it's an amazing dry shampoo.

Very dense, chewy bars. I like that they have a simple, short ingredients list. Flavors definitely matter. I've love the blueberry one, and the coffee chocolate one. I like the chocolate sea salt one and the mint one isn't too bad. The pb chocolate one tastes absolutely horrible. Very protein-y cardboard kind of taste, no pb and no chocolate flavor. I pick them up when they go on sale at my local grocery store, otherwise I'd never pay full price for them. Way too expensive for what they are.
I used this on an international flight and it was very moisturizing. The cracks around my nose smoothed right out and my skin was much more hydrated. The price was very reasonable at Walmart. Cons- it gave me a itchy kind of feeling towards the end so maybe not best for sensitive skin. Also, this thing is gigantic. It was on my ears, went up past my hairline and covered half my neck yet the eye holes were teeny slits.
I started using this bar soap almost a year ago when I got rid of my loofa (the amount bacteria those things harbor is concerning!) It's super gentle but I feel clean after using it. It's not very moisturizing, but its a cleansing bar not a moisturizing bar. I buy the 3 packs and it is a bit pricey but I will continue to use it.
Amazing! I got this while in South Korea and I'm convinced that Korean skin care lives up to the hype! It's so thick and creamy but spreads very easily. Some reviews said it had the consistency of jelly but it's much more like very thick lotion than gelatinous. I think it is extremely moisturizing but not greasy at all and has a very pleasant light scent. I plan on making this my go-to face cream and will continue to buy it, especially since I now know I can get it in the states.
Review for: Mega Volume Mascara Very Black 0.27 fl oz; 8 ml more...
I recently prioritized purchasing only cruelty-free brands and sadly that meant pretty much all my "luxury brand" mascaras were a no go. I was skeptical but for the price, it's a good mascara. Deep black color, no flaking issues. However, it is very thin. I feel like I have to use several coats just for everyday wear. So I feel like it does more lengthening than any "volume" but because it's a thin formula, I don't experience any clumping or matting of my lashes. Can't really argue for $2-3.
Probably the best cheap drugstore sunless tanner. I love using GlowPro self tanner but it's too intensive for frequent use. This Banana Boat lotion is super easy and fast. I use it just on my legs and have been using twice a week before bed (I haven't noticed any color change of my white sheets). I suggest exfoliating before using it so it doesn't get splotchy. I'm pretty fair skinned but use the "dark" formula and it looks pretty natural, not the Jersey Shore kind of tan (that I honestly would kind of prefer on my legs lol). It's not orange on my skin but I did put some on my husband and it turned orange on him. But for 6ish bucks, it's worth trying and seeing how you react!
I bought the watch and heart rate monitor bundle of Amazon 9 months ago after my coworker recommended it and I love it! I have the green/black one but its the same model. I wear it everyday as a watch for work (with step counter turned off otherwise it drains battery) and also use it for running, hiking and lifting weights. I wear the heart rate monitor during weight lifting sessions and sprinting intervals to make sure I'm working hard enough. The gps or indoor activity tracker is on 5-14 hours a week and I currently have to charge every 2.5 weeks. I love plugging the watch into Garmin Connect to see more broken down info, like elevation changes during hikes. I work a mostly outdoors job and have abused this watch, but it still looks and works like brand new. As other reviews stated, it takes a few minutes to connect to gps but it's not bad. Maybe 2 minute tops is what I've waited before. Highly recommend!
Best vegan protein I've ever tried. Great protein to carb ratio and 0g sugar. It's a very fine, silty powder so it's immediately different to whey. I've never just mixed it with water, but it's amazing in overnight oats and in smoothies (with frozen bananas and cashew milk!) Not gritty like most vegan powders I've tried. I use it to support a plant-based athletic lifestyle, but my husband now uses it because it's easier on his stomach than whey was. I buy it off Amazon and it's pretty much the same price as most whey powders.
I wear this roughly 5x a week for weight training and 3-4x a week for running. It fits great, goes on easy, connects fast to the watch and is super accurate when positioned correctly. I've noticed it doesn't work well with a few of my sports bras but it does great with most. No chaffing and I don't even notice I'm wearing it.
