While this isn’t overly luxurious, it’s a solid formula and definitely worth the price. The pigmentation is strong and even. It applies easily and smoothly, without any tugging. The finish isn’t a completely flat matte, which prevents the lips from getting dry. It’s wear time is typical for a bullet lipstick, and is definitely something you should take in your purse for touchups. Overall, if you’re willing to shell out just a couple of dollars, you’ll get a really great product.
This was such a letdown for me. I heard all the rave reviews about how this dried out blemishes overnight and worked wonders. However, this barely did anything for me. It didn’t do anything to pimples that were under the surface of my skin and hadn’t come to a head yet. Even on some pimples with heads, it was ineffective. It really only helped on tiny little pimples that were about to heal anyways. I am glad that this didn’t make my skin any worse or overly dry, so there’s a positive. If you’re really interested, give this a go, since it seems to work out for so many people. But don’t get your hopes up.
This is really not my favorite cleanser. I have normal skin that pulls dry in the colder seasons. This is cheap and relatively gentle, so if you just want a basic foaming cleanser that will get your face clean, this is fine. But I find that foaming cleansers always dry my skin out because of the sulfates. I much prefer the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser.
For me, this product was fine. It did the job for a fair price, but wasn't anything special. I didn't experience any irritation or breakouts, which is a huge positive, and my skin felt nice and refreshed. But there's no extra wow factor. I didn't have transformed or drastically improved skin. If you're not sure what you're looking for, or want the most basic, simple toner, then this is a fantastic option for you. It's a great introduction into the world of toners. But if you're looking to address specific skin concerns, there are other options to consider.
I've tried five or six MAC lipsticks now, and honestly, I'm underwhelmed. I do enjoy the wide shade selection and variety of finishes. I've tried a few nudes, a few mid tone shades, and one dark, vampy color, and out of all of them, the dark one was the worst. Just very patchy and difficult to work with. The nudes and mid tone ones are pretty, but nothing to write home about. I find that most of these leave my lips dry at the end of the day, and the scent is so sickly and chemically. They're not the worst, but not worth the price or hype. I'd rather buy NYX or Maybelline, since they're very similar/better quality.
Forever 21 is the kind of store where I buy something on a whim once in a while, but don't love to visit. Some of their things are pretty decent, but most of them are poor quality and begin to fall apart after 3-5 wears. I would rather go somewhere else and pay $45 for a shirt I can wear over and over, than pay $15 for a shirt I can wear thrice. But if you look carefully and be patient, there are some great finds there! My favorite denim shorts are from F21.
These aren't my favorite glosses, but my issue is more due to preference rather than quality. The pigmentation of these is insane! They look like glossy liquid lipsticks. I usually go for something a bit more sheer, so I typically apply these to the center of my lips and blend them out so the color isn't too intense. That's why I don't reach for these as often as others. They aren't super sticky, but you can feel something present on your lips when you press them together. I actually like this, because I feel that the thicker texture gives more longevity. Some of the brighter/darker shades tend to feather more than the nudes/neutrals, so I would recommend keeping an eye on that. But if you want a high impact, intense gloss, these are great for you!
I used to use these wipes exclusively and went through DOZENS of packages, but after exploring other options and making comparisons, I've realized that they're not my favorite. One wipe removes the majority of my makeup while only leaving a light amount of remnants (which doesn't bother me, since I double cleanse). Granted, I do wear very light makeup on a daily basis, but these take off my mascara too. I don't feel any burning on my eyes. But these wipes leave behind a very bothersome greasy residue. It makes my face feel unclean, and I need to follow up with cleanser immediately. For that reason, I don't like these for on the go. After I tried some other wipes, I realized that these are made of a very thin material, and are not very soft and plush. Also, the sticker is not strong enough, and by the time I get towards the end of a package, I have to use tape to help it say completely shut. While I would purchase these if I couldn't find my favorites, I wouldn't consider these to be a first choice.
I personally really enjoy these wipes! If you often wear a full face of dramatic makeup, this may not be very effective for you. They're not very large, and not unbelievably saturated. But a single wipe takes off my everyday makeup and washable mascara off very well. They don't cause irritation on my skin or eyes. The wipe feels nice and gentle, so I don't feel like these over-stress my face. I also like to keep these wipes in my tennis bag. They're especially refreshing after running around in the sun. Most of the time, wipes that have a sticker as a closure bother me, and I prefer the kind that snaps shut. But I find that the sticker on this is strong, and doesn't lose stickiness over time. It keeps my wipes fresh and stops them from drying out. I've been using these on and off for a few years now, and I continue to go back to them because they really are a great quality product!
