Hey I'm Lexy! I LOVE makeup and am starting 2017 in hopes of becoming a beauty blogger! I'd love to turn my passion into something that I can share with other people who love makeup & beauty as much as I do! I wish to provide the most honest and helpful reviews!💕💕💕
I have yet to find a shade of red that compares to this one! It's like a bright blue based red that looks amazing on every skin tone. This is like the Macs Ruby Woo lipstick in nail polish form. The most classic beautiful red I've used.
I bought the solo version of the bigger green sponge. The first time I used it (damp) it sucked up all of my product. You have to go in with a light hand with this sponge. I do like the curved bottom part which is like the real beauty blender but I find the top part a little hard for me to blend out my concealer. Although I gave it 3 starts I did go back to my real technique sponge after purchasing this because i didn't have time to figure it out.
I have a serious love hate relationship with this sponge. In all honest I continue to repurchase because it gets the job done and it's affordable and not as hard to find as it used to be but I don't like the sharp edge I do wish it was round like the actual beauty blender and I do feel like it dries out quickly sometimes while applying my makeup and I even have to re-wet it in the middle of application at times. It does blend out my makeup effectively though, I love the mini version also which is a great steal since they come with two!
I love the beauty blender! It's a great investment for someone who wears foundation everyday in my opinion. Although I have found drugstore alternatives at the end of the day I feel like nothing compares to this sponge and if it were a little more affordable I would buy it more often. Just be careful how you store it because it catches mold very easily if you don't wring out the excess water when your done or dry it properly.
I don't really feel that this adds much "rosiness" to my lips but it does keep them from being chapped. Because it's so thick I don't really feel like it penetrates deep but it definitely hydrates when left on overnight.
