I love face masks, so when I saw that I was recieving this in my ipsy bag, I was thrilled. This face mask is great!
It has a very clean scent to it, and has little exfoiliating particles in it that feel great when applying to the face (and taking it off!) I have oily skin, so following the instructions, I let it sit on my face for 11 minutes and really did notice the tingling sensation that is mentioned on the packaging. It feels like it's really doing a deep cleanse of your skin. It dries down T I G H T, but it comes off very easily with water. After the mask, my skin feels very clean, smooth, and looks noticeably brighter.
I would highly recommend this stuff for anyone looking for a good mud mask!
I have heard all kinds of hype about Ofra Cosmetics Liquid Lipsticks, so when I received the shade "Unzipped" (a berry nude) in my ipsy bag, I couldn't wait to try it out...and I'm generally impressed.
The applicator is your standard doe foot applicator, and the lipstick itself has a strong sweet smell, almost like vanilla frosting (once dried down on the lips, the scent isn't noticeable) The formula isn't too thin, which I like, and it's opaque in one swipe. It wears well on the lips, but I do find it a bit drying. It is transfer proof, which is nice, and it does dry down all the way.
Overall, it's not my favorite liquid lipstick formula, but I would definitely try out some more shades.
I was lucky enough to receive this brush complimentary from Influenster and I love everything about it!
This brush is such a huge upgrade from what I had been using previously. It feels very luxurious in hand and has a nice weight to it, which I enjoy. The brush bristles are extremely soft, and when used with the pressed Shimmering Skin Perfector, it picked up the perfect amount of product. The brush itself is a great size and shape for highlighting. All in all, another great quality product from Becca.
I was lucky enough to receive this highlighter complimentary from Influenster and I quickly fell in love!
This is the first high end highlighter I've ever tried, and I am absolutely blown away at the quality of this product. The packaging is classy and sturdy, and the Rose Quartz color of the product is lovely. It applies to the skin very smoothly and blends BEAUTIFULLY. I have some problem areas texture-wise, and I did not find that this highlight accentuated my texture, which is a huge plus. The highlight gives your skin the most gorgeous, wet-looking shine, and it lasted on my oily skin all day (8 hours.)
All in all, I think this is an absolutely fantastic product - I can't wait to get my hands on more shades!
I am always looking for a great powder to set my liquid foundation with, and this one exceeded my expectations!
I picked this up at Ulta for around $11 if I remember correctly. It sets my foundation beautifully and adds some additional coverage to my face. It never looks cakey, and it wears well throughout the day on my oily skin. It does seem to keep me matte longer than other drugstore powders, which I really like.
All in all, I'm very glad I decided to give this stuff a try. I think I'll be repurchasing once I run out!
After hearing nothing but great things about this bronzer, I was still hesitant to pick it up. It's a bit pricey for a drugstore bronzer! After much debate, I decided to purchase this at Ulta and I have been blown away.
The packaging is adorable, very tropical. When you open the compact, you'll be hit with a lovely (very strong) smell of coconut. If you're sensitive to scents, keep that in mind, but I couldn't smell it after it was applied to my face. The compact comes with a very strange sponge-like "brush" that I immediately tossed - I applied with my favorite bronzer brush. The product glides on beautifully atop my foundation, and blends like a dream. It's pigmented, but is buildable, which I love in a bronzer. It's a great color for adding warmth to the face, and it lasted all day on my oily skin.
If you're hesistant to pick this up because of the price, I can say firsthand that I think it's worth every penny!
I've heard nothing but great things about this foundation since it launched, and I've been wanting to change up my routine a bit...so I headed to Ulta and picked this up for around $10. I'm really impressed!
The shade selection on display was pretty decent. The packaging is a glass bottle, which both looks and feels nice. It dispenses with a pump (yay!) and is a thicker consistency. It smoothed out onto the skin well with a damp beauty sponge, and blended out beautifully. This is definitely a full coverage foundation, which as someone with redness, I can appreciate. I have oily skin, and this stuff when set with powder lasted well all day long.
I docked a star because initially it made my skin look a little dry, but after an hour or so of wear, the finish was beautiful. If you're looking for a drugstore foundation that will rock your world, check this one out!
As someone who wasn't too terribly impressed with the Naked palettes, I'm pleasantly surprised by the Urban Decay Single Eyeshadows.
The only reason I docked a star is the pigmentation - I find with these particular shades it's almost a requirement to apply with a wet brush for that high impact look. Other than that small detail, these shadows are great. The shade selection is very unique, which I love. The shadows are buttery smooth, and apply well. They're easy to blend, and they wear all day long on my oily lids.
They're certainly not cheap, so I'd say wait for a sale if you can, but otherwise these are a solid eyeshadow choice.
As someone who desires a lot of coverage in their concealers, I find this option from Maybelline to be okay.
The packaging is nice enough and the applicator is easy to use. The consistency of the product is a little thin for my liking, and I wish the lightest shade they offered was just a little bit lighter. They market this as being "natural coverage" - I'd say it's medium coverage. My biggest issue with this concealer is that I find that it creases pretty badly throughout the day. I've even used the Fit Me! powder to set it in hopes that it wouldn't crease, but to no avail.
Because of the creasing and the medium coverage, I won't be repurchasing...but I can say that this is an alright choice for a drugstore concealer.
