Review for Tatcha - Polished: Deep Rice Enzyme Powder - 1 day, 17 hours ago

I loved this! It feels like silk (when dry)but exfoliates and really leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft. I’m not one for gritty exfoliants especially since I have sensitive skin, but this really gets the job done.

Also, a little goes a long way for this product so a full size should last a couple of months!😉

Review for Life Time Fitness - 3 days, 16 hours ago
Not a fan!! It’s been a while since I canceled my membership at their Naperville location and I’ve yet to think about that over priced facility without cringing. Most of the group classes I attended were pretty good. The problem is they were overflowing and not enough space (can someone say “create another class?”).

Add to that, none of the account managers could tell the truth about membership fees! The only redeeming aspect of this particular gym was the swim department and the sauna facilities otherwise save your money!

Their customer service sucks and they don’t know the meaning of customer loyalty or service recovery. I now either workout at home or use my local Y which has far better customer service as well as honesty when it comes to amenities, pricing, etc.

Review for IKEA - 4 days, 8 hours ago
I like shopping at IKEA because it really does carry a wide variety of products at an affordable price. The only caveat I would give is to make sure that it's an item that is actually worth the price! For instance, some of their lamps are overpriced (floor lamps with plastic bases that cost over 100 USD!) given the cheapness of some of the actual materials.
Other than that, they've got pretty eclectic stuff for home and office, etc. Their Swedish meatballs are delicious but I've got a healthy recipe hack for that one!
I’m big on wearable fitness gadgets that do the job and won’t kill your style! While the Fitbit is great on price and uped it features, I still can’t seem to get up to rating of 5.
First, the band did not hold up to my active lifestyle (it’s not waterproof ) and I had to take it off for swimming or showering at the gym.

Second, the band does break down and depending on how active you are, you’ll be replacing the band sooner rather than later. Plus, it’s not as accurate as the Apple Watch in terms of steps or distance.

It’s fine for the basics but if you need more accuracy and usability, I’d move to the Apple Watch ⌚ or one with similar features.

Review for Siggi's Yogurt Icelandic Style - 5 days, 8 hours ago
As a fitness and health coach, I have to confess that I’m not a big fan of most of the yogurt brands out there! So many of them have been hyped up and loaded with sugar and other unhealthy additives.

Siggis is a breath of fresh air not just in terms of ingredients but the quality as well. With only ingredients, 7g of sugar per 8oz serving and packing a whopping 25g of protein, this brand beats out most of the competition.

I hate “mystery” ingredients and preservatives so this was an easy choice for me. While the vanilla flavor is also quite tasty, I recommend the plain version (pictured in this review) because i prefer raw unprocessed local honey 🍯 every time!

Review for: Mayo Real more...
This is one brand I had to kick out of pantry and fridge! Once I found out about the questionable additives in thisproduct, I was done!

Of particular concern is the presence of disodium EDTA which has a number of health concerns associated with it (I give an in-depth review of this on youtube) and it’ S banned in several countries outside the USA. That's enough to convince me that not only do I not want chemicals in my food, I also don't want potentially toxic preservatives either!

I used both the powder and liquid version of this supplement. I’m pleased with the results so far but I’ll err on the conservative side before I give it a 5 star review.

I always love to use products that have been vetted by outside agencies and accreditation institutions and I’m happy to see that neocell is GMP certified. This is what you want to see on ALL of your vitamins and supplements!😉

Review for Drunk Elephant Umbra(TM) Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 3 oz/ 90 mL - 5 days, 15 hours ago

While it’s a good product, I prefer my sun care items have a higher SPF. Also, I’m still reviewing and conducting my own personal research on the ingredients list to see if it matches up with the EWG’s sun care ratings.

Review for: Other more...
I push for authenticity and fairness in all my reviews and since this is my most recent product I’m testing, I’m only giving a 3 out of 5 based on texture, scent, and hydration.

Since I’ve only been using this product for a week, I’ll have to provide a more complete review at a later date (you typically want to use a product for at least 2weeks). So far, it’s very hydrating and my skin feels soft to the touch. As for anti-aging, the jury is still out on this one!

Review for Neutrogena® Wet Skin Sunscreen Spray SPF 60 - 5 days, 15 hours ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 1
I’ve been using this product for a few years now but I’m only giving it a a rating of 3 out of 5 because of some the ingredients in this sunscreen.

While it’s given good sun protection, some of the ingredients have been labeled as potentially harmful by the environmental working group ( a non-profit organization that evaluates home, personal care, cosmetics, foods, etc for human and environmental safety).

Needless to say, I’m currently evaluating and reviewing a number of skincare lines that use all natural ingredients that do disrupt hormone function or posses ingredients that are banned in Europe or elsewhere.

My personal research has revealed that a number of the major cosmetics lines / companies in the USA are using ingredients in their skincare and sun-care products that are banned in part or all over Europe and parts of Asia.
