Locations vary in quality but for the price this is a very good gym and most locations are a step above LA Fitness in terms of cleanliness and quality. The pools and hot tubs are always clean. Nice locker rooms with televisions, great group classes to fit all schedules and a variety of machines. I have visited several locations in the city of Chicago and suburban Chicago. I did end up cancelling due to not going enough but I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Nice amenities sauna steam room showers etc. My biggest gripe is that sometimes equipment is broken and they’re not always quick to repair it, and sometimes televisions don’t work well on the machines. They’re not always proactive in fixing things. Also; towels are so small. It would be nice if they gave full size towels.
while living in chicago i did enjoy being a member at this gym. i do have to deduct two stars for how tiny the place is. usually was crowded when i went but it was a 24 hour facility with a pretty nice tanning set up. i also feel like everyone who was at this gym was working hard towards a goal so it had that inspiring feel once youre inside. also was no problem finding equipment and weight training
I love that it is a judge free zone and the one i go to is so welcoming. The workers there are easy to talk to and are knowledgeable about healthiness. They have so many different machines. They have different monthly charges that go from as low as $10 to i think $45 a month (not 100% sure of the most expensive memberships) The only thing i dislike is how much they try to push trainers on you. I took 6 people to enroll over the past year and they spent about 30 minutes trying to convince them to get a trainer. The thing that bugged me the most is that after we said she had bills and doesn't have the money at the moment for a trainer but in the future when she could she'd reach out, they still pushed and said how a trainer was a priority. I know it's part of their job but they need to know when to stop.
I absolutely love xsport. I'm so mad they don't have one here in Florida. But I love the cleanliness and atmosphere of the gym. Everyone is hella helpful and friendly. I love that it's 24 hours and you can go when it's convenient for you. The membership isn't too steep either but can be kinda pricey compared to the $10 membership gyms. My favorite place to work out.
So-so. This is a bit more of a “luxury” gym, so they have everything you need, but I prefer a true “gym” atmosphere, if that makes sense. I signed up with a teacher discount and got a free year, too, because i signed up at a new location. I mainly joined foe the pool, which was always well-maintained but i wish they had a lifeguard. The pool area gets crowded at peak times and you have 2+ people sharing a lane. All locations I’ve been to are connected to malls, so there’s never parking. I have taken yoga with two different instructors: one was absolutely amazing and the other was absolutely awful.
Used to go last summer with my sister in law since she had her membership and really enjoyed my time there. They have a great variety of machines and different types of fitness classes. We used to do the Zumba classes in the evening and they were great. Definitely miss going from time to time
For the price, xsport is great!! I love that they are open 24 hours a day! I am a super early bird but also a mom so the flexibility is great! I also love the variety of equipment. I have only had positive experiences with the trainers too. Definitely would recommend these clean, well-kept facilities!!
The sales people and the personal training team are PUSHY! It’s pretty horrible. The gym itself is really nice and has a lot to offer but I do not need you coming up to me while I’m on the treadmill trying to convince me to get a personal trainer. The spa services are a good addition.
XSport Fitness has been one of my favorite gyms to go to for its price. Their classes are most definitely my favorite. I especially love their protein shake bar. However, I do wish they had a woman’s only work out room. Besides that, it’s a great clean gym with something for everybody.
Love that they are 24/7 so even when I get out late from anything I can come and get my workout. Love the variety of machines and that i can always find an empty machine to use. I usually go twice a week but I’m hoping to start going at least 4 days out the week.
Q & A
Anyone try this yet, is it any good?
Whats your favorite gym?
Hey! I'm interested in joining this gym. I'm not a huge gym junkie or anything but I do enjoy taking an occasional group class. How are the group classes? Is there one set intensity or do they have ones for beginners and experts?
Where is your favorite to workout at?
