i tried out wells fargo after getting a job in my school town to see how it goes and to see if i wan an stay with them. needless to say i am not. rude customer service and not helpful and tells me false information to get themselves to look good.

Great customer service
I love the two branches we go to. Everyone is helpful happy and pleasant to deal with. They know our names when we walk into the doors. It's nice to feel like we aren't just a number sometimes.

I do NOT like Wells Fargo!
I used to have a savings account set up at a Wells Fargo for my oldest son. We moved to a different town, and I hadnt checked his account for almost two years. I decided one day, that I would just close out his account seeing that he didnt have much in there, and I now bank at a different bank all together. When I went in to close his account, they said that his money had been sent to their main branch, and that I would have to fill out a couple papers and contact them to get it back! I couldnt believe it!! He only had roughly $15 and some change, and they completely closed out his account! The answer I got of why they did this, was because I hadnt made any transactions in so many months. I for one, didnt even know that they could close out a minors account with out permission from a parent. I never did get his money back, and I will NEVER again bank with them!

Student Banking
PROS: Great app, easy, free banking
CONS: Not great hours
When I searched for a bank before going off to college, I found that many charged a monthly fee. Being a student, I didn't have time for a job at first, so a bank that charged a monthly fee, no matter how small, was just not an option for me. I found Wells Fargo when it was still Wachovia. They had great student services so I chose the bank. Wells Fargo hasn't disappointed.

Dissappointed
I wish that there were Wellsfargos in smaller towns. I have to drive nearly an hour to get to one. Also, I had to cancel my debit card because it was going to cost me money to have one.

Great Customer Service
I've been a member of Wells Fargo since my freshman year of college. Recently, my debit card info got stolen but Wells Fargo was extremely quick to freeze the card and refund the charges. Thank goodness for excellent customer service.

Money thieves!
PROS: Locations
CONS: sales before service
Unlike a lot of banks in my area, Wells is all about the SALES, not the service!! They are always pressing products on customers who are more than happy with what they already have! Also, if you cancel your credit card with them for any reason, there is a rule that you can NEVER open another credit card with them again! How ridiculous is that!!!

Bad experience
We used to be members at Wells Fargo until we had $7200 stolen from out account. They did refund the money, but it took WEEKS to get it settled when it wasn't our fault to begin with. Hard to pay bills with that money missing.

My first bank accounts were through Wells Fargo and I had absolutely no problem with them. Our local bankers were all very personable. However, I now live in a state that has no Wells Fargo banks, so I've had to switch. Would have been nice to stay with the bank.

I switched to Wells Fargo several years ago now, and I love it. They have a great college account that helps you avoid paying fees. I love the mobile banking app, and I use the mobile deposit frequently. I've never had any problems with it! I always receive great customer service, whether I go into the bank or call on the phone. They have several accounts, so talk with the teller about what would be best for you!

Did you know that you can create your own debit card FOR FREE on wellsfargo.com? I recently did mine & I can't wait for it to come to me! It's a pic of my SO & me in Disneyland :)

Yes!! You can do it for your credit cards too. I have my debit card of my puppy and my credit card of the mountains in Colorado. I love them and I get lots of compliments on how neat it is that my dog is on my card!!

How far will Wells Fargo go to protect your identity? It didn't protect mine at all. I was out of work for a year!

They offer ID Theft protection that you can purchase. (ID theft protection can be purchased almost anywhere nowadays) The protection provides you with the tools to protect your own information as it relates to your personal information. Wells Fargo protects your accounts and debit card as long as you are responsible and report lost items, theft, or fraud.

Do you currently get charged the monthly fee to use your debit card? This is why I went to another bank but I sure do miss Wells Customer Service! :/
