Plated.com Review
PROS: Convenience, healthy, get to try new recipes
CONS: Recurring Billing
QUICK TIPS: http://justmeandyoukid.com/fix-me-a-plate-my-review-of-plated-com/
Plated.com is a novel concept. I don't know if it's really saves you money in the longer run, but is rather convenient. The dishes I ordered were pretty good, but I have a tendency to enjoy food with a bit more spice.

Awesome food & concept but a little pricey
PROS: unique recipes, all ingredients included, convenient
CONS: a bit expensive, some recipes sell out
Received a trial membership via facebook ad and gave it a try. The recipes turned out great but I think the price point is a little "high" considering I could order food delivery at almost the same cost with no labor. Other pros: the uniqueness of some of the menus, all the ingredients are right there for you, it's delivered ready-to-make, and the food was good! In the end, I will remain a member and opt to try out new recipes I wouldn't have known to do otherwise.

Plated.com left us holding the bag
PROS: The food looks good on website
CONS: Plated charges shipping on free giveaways, doesn't protect user privacy and does recurring billing
QUICK TIPS: READ FINE PRINT. They are tricky.
We met the staff at Plated.com at BlogHer13. The product seemed to meet our strict standards but after giving away the gift cards we were given all hell broke loose. The winners were charged $7 for shipping and some food never arrived. We reached out to Emily at Plated.com and was told she would connect us with rep Benhtzi. This was Sept. 1, 2013. We reached out again and again and NO ONE from Plated.com ever got back with us. In the meantime, angry winners called us and we kept telling them we were waiting to hear back from Emily at Plated. She was just terrible! Their cards were charged each week for additional Plated.com meals. WHAT A MESS! It was like the old days of AOL when the endless CDs showed up at your home! Since September, we called her again on November 11 and she was dismissive and rude. At this point we will be forced to refund the $7 to eleven winners and risk the trust of our readers. WE SIMPLY CANNOT RECOMMEND PLATED! Buyer Beware!

We LOVE Plated!
PROS: convenient, delicious, creative
QUICK TIPS: Google for coupons for your first week
My boyfriend and I LOVE plated! We subscribed over a month ago and have been cooking 3 healthy, delicious meals every week! Also the recipes are creative - they're definitely things I wouldn't think of and are in the "foodie" realm. I love that I don't have to worry about ingredients and that they often provide videos for us aspiring chefs to help with techniques. Nothing has been too difficult for us and usually the recipes are pretty quick to make. There are usually coupons for your first month, so give it a shot!

Gourmet Learning Experience
PROS: gourmet, convenience, delivery
CONS: Make room in your refrigerator beforehand if you're not cooking right away.
I have tried this service via a gift from a friend - I cannot recommend this service enough. Plated is more than a grocery delivery - They curate a gourmet experience so that you actually feel like you're learning while you're cooking. Fresh ingredients - Was a little worried about delivery, as I am not in a doorman building, but it was there waiting on my doorstep in a cold box!

DELICIOUS
QUICK TIPS: great gift ideas
My aunt told me about this a while ago & invited me over to have dinner with her, It was the best dinner I ever had, The steak was fantastic, very juicy.. The veggies were very very fresh. The next day we had chicken, very tender, awesome taste! I would def. give this to someone as a gift & I can't wait to get my food as well! Also, the tuna is AMAZING, I have always been a fan of ahi.

Corporate Types and Working Busy Parents
PROS: Great Concept, Nice Menu
CONS: Cost
QUICK TIPS: Weigh time vs. cost options to determine if this is right for your and your family.
Although it looks delicious, I haven't personally tried the foods from Plated. However,I did read a lot on their website and this is my takeaway. I need to spend less on groceries, so it takes me a little more time to prepare the food that my family eats. And, I like cooking so I'm ok with that. I work from home most of the time so I'm not a good customer for Plated. That being said, 3 years ago, I would have jumped on this. I was at the peak of my corporate career, working 80 hours a week, making decent money and barely seeing the inside of my house, much less my family. I could have afforded $15/plate and would have happily jumped at the chance to skip the prep, spend only a few minutes in the kitchen and enjoy delicious meals with my family.

Great concept but expensive
CONS: price
I tried this site once and I would love to use it again because the whole concept is amazing and very convenient. The downside is it's very expensive for home cooking, $15 per plate for soup and grilled cheese?

Is it worth the money? I really want to try it out but if the food doesn't taste as good as it looks (because it looks delicious!), I'd rather not pay $10 a plate

ERICA B. Answer :
I think that really depends on how busy you are and whether or not you enjoy cooking. I personally think that if you can follow a recipe and have the time to do some prep work (including a trip to the grocery store) this is probably not worth it. I think this is more for higher-end consumers that work in time-demanding jobs and can afford to cut out some time with the added cost.

It is if you're looking for a quick meal and don't want to search for ingredients and such. You should try it for a month and see what you think!
