PROS: Less towels used and less time

CONS: Needs to blow dry microfiber after use

Since my hair is so think, I really had my doubts about this brush. Normally I have to use several towels just to get my hair to the damp stage. However, I removed the first towel from my hair and started using this brush. The absorbent microfibers indeed work. After I ran this brush through my hair a couple of times the microfibers were soaked but I didn't have to use a second or third towel as I normally would.

CONS: took longer than usual to dry my hair

I received the Goody® QuikStyle™ Paddle Brush in my Holiday VoxBox I was so excited because I have been seeing this brush in stores and have really been wanting to know how it works.
I have medium-thick hair, shoulder length, no layers.
This brush didn't do anything extra for my hair. I used it to detangle my wet hair after a shower, but my wide-toothed comb does as good a job. The little blue microfiber pieces did soak up water, a bit of it.
It took longer than normal to dry my hair with this brush. I kept thinking to myself, "How will my hair dry faster if those wet microfibers keep running through it?"
I think I will have to pass on this item. If there was a way to remove the wet blue microfibers once they soak up the wetness from hair, I would like that.

Received this brush in my Holiday VoxBox. At first, I was a bit skeptical on their claims so I gave it a try after washing my hair. To my surprise it actually worked! It absorb the excess water from my hair as it should, I could feel the moisture captured in the microfiber, and I noticed my hair did dry faster than usual. The only thing that I felt a bit troublesome is that I have to shake it or hit it on something to get the microfiber back in shape after every brush. Other than that, everything was fine.

I cut five inches off my hair and my hair is still long but looks so much healthier. To insure my locks stay beautiful, Influenster provided me with what I call a brush and towel all-in-one. They sent me the Goody QuickStyle Brush in the “paddle” form. The paddle styler has microfiber bristles, which remove 30% of water as you style. YES!!! This means less damage from heat when I use my blow-dryer! Healthy hair that dries quicker not only saves you time but your hair will thank you. I also noticed my hair was shinier after I used the brush and I feared having little blue fuzzies after use but not one and even had Hubby check. It passed the test so much that I retired (trashed it) my former brush. At $11.99 for either Paddle or Half Round styler, I’m worth it! @GoodyHair / #QuikStyle

I'm sure this brush is a great idea for some people, but it didn't work that well for me. My hair is fine, thin and pretty curly. I usually have to brush my wet hair with a wide toothed comb and let it dry naturally. The brush did dry my hair some, but it smoothed it down and took out too much of the curl. That would be fine, even helpful, if that's how I want to style it. It also seemed to put a little static in my hair. I'm also a little concerned about how long it really will be germ free. It really is a great idea though.

What a great idea for drying your hair faster! The Goody Quikstyle Brush has unique, absorbent bristles that help to remove water from your hair to speed up the drying process as you style.

I found the Goody Quikstyle Brush to really work! Since it is a large brush it took a few minutes to find the most comfortable way to hold the brush while drying but once I did all went smoothly in more ways than one. The Goody Quikstyle Brush helped dry my hair to a smooth and sleek finish!

I was so excited when I saw this in the Holiday VoxBox.. I have really long hair and when I saw this would help dry it faster I was even more excited! I think I showed it to EVERYONE in my family! When I actually used it I was really impressed with how it actually does help! Make sure you towel dry your hair a little bit b/c if you brush it while it is still REALLY REALLY wet it pulls some of your hair out! But that is with any other brush too! I would recommend trying this brush! If you are like me and have kids and absolutely hate drying your hair then anything that will help cut down on that time is AMAZING!

PROS: cuts down drying time, price quality.

This for sure takes the excess water out of your hair and cut down drying time a ton. I used it on my long thick hair before and during blowing out my hair and it saved me so much time. I use it on my two year old daughter to dry her hair before bed and she now goes to bed with much dryer hair. Definitely worth the money. I use it right out of the shower and detangles as well as my other expensive paddle brush. What a great product!

As far as the product goes, I love it. I have thick hair and this brush works great for cutting drying time down. I will note that I have to towel dry it first. I just wrap my head while I apply my face cream. After that the brush works great.

The only problem I found with it, IT STINKS..Literally. After having it for a while and using it daily it started to get a mildew smell to it. I got a new one and now I blow dry the brush alittle after I'm done using it. Also, keep some Febreze handy.

QUICK TIPS: Use in combination with a leave in conditioner for maximum smoothness and shine!

I used this first on my 2.5 year old's long hair. Every night we are in a race to get her bathed and hair dried before bed. With this brush, no more going to sleep with damp hair! It really did significantly cut down on drying time.
Also, I thought it would make hair staticky or frizzy using this on dry hair, but it actually makes hair smooth and shiny. See the picture! Yes, she is 2.5, crazy! (And I was bald until I was 2, go figure)

PROS: probably better for somebody with super thin hair, spongies are cool

CONS: not as good for thick hair, at first was hard to control, big, clumsy, awkward, matted my h air down, felt like it didn't reach my scalp or go through all my hair :(

QUICK TIPS: follow directions on how to clean! save cardboard on back of brush that tells you how.

I received this product in my Holiday Vox Box and was so excited because it looked so cool!So far I tried it only once. I have to say it felt a bit clumsy to use. very big and awkward to hold. and the spongey things inside would not allow the bristles to reach my head (my hair is thick so i had a hard time getting the brush through because of the sponge things. and my hair was sopping wet, so i thought the spongies would shrink down once they got wet...... so my hair ended up looking a little matted down with less height. but the next day (i washed it the night before) - it actually looked really good. So i would like to give the brush another couple of tries before my final verdict. but sadly right now it gets a C+ (maybe a B-). i DO like that it has a venting system through the sides. i think maybe if the handle was made a little longer and thinner the entire brush would be easier to control.

UPDATE! I used it a few more times and i find it easier to use. i guess practice makes perfect!?! my hair looks good - although it doesn't FEEL like the brush is going through my hair, i SEE that it actually is. i took a few pics. will try to add photo's later........ seems good for all hair types...

I received this in my Holiday VoxBox and I'm super thrilled about it! It helps me to dry my hair so much before I start to blow dry just by brushing! It helps detangle too. Once I have brushed through my hair a few times and detangled I start to blow dry while using the brush and it gets my hair dry in half the time it used to take me! This is without a doubt the best item in the 2012 Holiday VoxBox! Thank you Goody! You really kept your eye on the ball and came up with a product that incorporates both a microfiber towel and paddle brush! The perfect hair tool!

It gets matted down when you use it so its no better than a towel and a brush - much cheaper option than this brush. Also, the regular bristles have no flexibility so they hurt and break my hair. And the thought of needing to comb your brush? No thanks.

I really really wanted to like this brush that I got in my holiday vox box, but its really not all that great. I did see a slight difference in drying time, but Im just imagining that it will eventually get a moldy smell to it. It also HURTS!! Not sure if anyone else has the same experience, but it really hurts my head...and isn't worth the pain for me to continue to use it :(

I received this in my holiday voxBox and I gotta say, I'm not at all impressed. It looks cool, but that's honestly the best thing about this brush. I have short hair, and when I tried to use it, it tugged on my hair too much and didn't really assist with the drying part. So, I thought it was geared towards those with long hair, but when my sister tried it, who has much longer hair, she experienced the same results. And being the clean freak I am, I can't bare to imagine how the brush will look after a few weeks of use. NO THANKS.

After seeing this brush in the store, I decided to give it a try. I have really long hair that takes forever to dry, and the Goody QuikStyle brush really does speed up the time it takes to dry my hair. I have thick hair that seems to take five hours to dry each morning. My hair tends to get really oily in the front and so I have to wash it every morning. The drying time has always been a pain, and lately I have been lazy just putting it up in a french braid or bun straight out of the shower to avoid taking the extra time to get ready. The Goody QuikStyle Paddle Brush is a godsend :) It does not do much for me alone, but when used with a hair dryer the time to get ready is sufficiently decreased!! Only took about two minutes for super dry hair :)

QUICK TIPS: If your hair is extra tangled when it's wet, start off by brushing the ends out and then working your way up to your roots. This will help damage your hair less.

I got this in my Holiday voxbox, and let me just start off by saying I have very long, thick, frizzy hair.
My hair usually takes FOREVER to dry, but this cuts the time down significantly!
I almost always towel dry, but when I blow dried with this baby, I felt like it only took me a couple minutes, which is huge for me.
This might not be very effective if you have thin hair because the difference might be less significant, but I seriously recommend this product.
The bristles/fibers don't get dirty, and it doesn't snag your hair as much as an ordinary brush, the hairs that do get caught come off so easily!
The only downside is that it is quite pricey for a brush.
I will be using this every day (:

I have super long hair, so blow drying it is a nightmare. I usually let it dry on its own for 20 mins before attempting to blow dry....however who has time for that every day. Bring on the goody quick style brush, this does soak alot of the moisture in your hair & helps to De-frizz hair. I hate the feeling of it though like your putting a mop on your hair & it doesn't quite brush through hair...more like your patting hair with it. But...its still good time wise when it comes to getting your hair dry. which i love

I received this awesome innovation in hair tools from Influenster complimentary for testing purposes through their BoxBox Program in my HolidayVoxBox. This amazing brush helped me style my hair faster than what my normal routine entails. The brush has these amazing little microfiber cloth bristle shaped pieces in between the normal brush bristles to help soak up water from your just washed hair as you style and blow dry. At first I thought the brush would make my fine hair tangle in the bristles, but that was NOT the case! My hair was easy to brush and truly did dry faster than normal due to the microfiber cloths soaking up the water left in my hair from the shower. I did a basic blow out with no issues, and much faster than normal, check out the final hairstyle in the picture I attached.

Received this brush in my HolidayVoxBox. Looks interesting, but feels bulky and awkward. I towel dry my hair first and then use this brush with my hairdryer. It doesn't take me as long to dry my hair and I do think my hair is shinier when done. Good concept but not sure if I would purchase it on my own.

If you already have dry hair that is prone to static cling, the brush slightly makes it more clingy if used on DRY hair. On wet hair, the brush won't cause static.

Mine doesn't smell. It has antimicrobial properties so it shouldn't grow anything gross. You are supposed to wash it out after about a week of use with some shampoo. After using it, go over it with a blow dryer and it'll help it dry better. There are more care instructions on the package as well.

It actually really works ! I'm hispanic and to be more specific I'm dominican and I have very very curly hair and i can honestly say it very effective. What I do is after i wash , codition and detangle my hair ... I part it into sections and use the Goody® QuikStyle™ Paddle Brush with a hair dry and the blue microfibers really works well in drying out the excess water. Once I do all of that it's easier for me to flat iron my hair and honestly without a lie my hair looks better straightened now than before I used the Goody® QuikStyle™ Paddle Brush. I have very thick and curly hair! I live this brush because it cuts out the frizz! I use a sauve smoothing cream after I after I towel dry my hair. It works absolute wonders for my hair! I love the brush and worth the 12$. Best brush in a long time, and it's very easy to clean

If you straighten your hair this brush is ok to use. That is if you enjoy running wet fibers through your hair. To me its just creepy. If you have full/thick hair the fibers end up drenched after maybe two strokes through your hair. Its much faster to use a towel.
Ok, if you wear your hair curly, this brush is not for you. Niether is the half round. For friz free natrual curls, brush your hair in the shower with the conditioner in it. (With a regular brush) when you get out, keep the towel on your head for about five min. Take the towel off and flip your head over and brush/ comb through one more time. (Make sure your hair is still wet but not dripping wet). With your fingers gentle tossle move your hair etc. With you head still flipped over, put some anti snap by redken in your hair. For even better results you can pick up argan oil curl creme by one n only at Sallys and put some of that in w your head still flipped over. After applying product etc flip your head back upright and let curls dry natrual.

I have thick wavy hair and I never did use it straight out of the shower. I imagine if I did that it would get sopping wet after two strokes. I put my hair in a towel and wait a while if I have the time to and then brush it after it's had some time to dry a little in the towel. I could see a slight difference in my bangs near my face when I would use this brush. I would run the brush through them first after I undoing my towel turban and they would be less damp as before. It didn't make a huge difference. It was a fun product to try but I don't think it made my hair routine any quicker.

I have thick curly hair... my biggest tip - don't BRUSH your hair. Only comb it when its wet WHILE you are IN the shower. I tried this brush and it was NO GOOD. I *might* suggest it you are going to straighten your hair, but again only if your hair is really wet...

I think it depends on your hair type. I have thick, curly hair (African American and latina). This brush is not good for my needs. I blow dry my hair with a ceramic rounded brush before flat-ironing it when I want to straighten my hair after my weekly washing. I usually only have to flat iron it that one time and my hair remains straight and frizz free until the next washing (assuming nature doesn't reek havoc on my hair lol). When I used this brush my hair was much more frizzy, more difficult to flat iron to the straightness I prefer, and my straightening did last without several flat iron touch-ups throughout the week. That is definitely not a result I wanted as it meant much more heat than I want to use on my hair. For someone with a different hair type than mine the results may be different.

I wouldn't spend the money on it unless you plan to use a flat iron after. I will use it to brush my hair out of the shower but it ends up like any other brush... Just detangles. I tried it today with a blow drier and got the front chunk dry on te left side and said forget it because it just made it frizzy. It does go quick with the drying though so, like I said, if you plan to flat iron then get it.

I was so excited when I found out about this brush but removing 30% of water? That's an overstatement. When you have thick hair it's maybe 5% if you're lucky. I still use it but it's not super effective.

it cuts the drying time in half. I found so many ways to use this product. I use it out of the shower for damp hair to apply product instead of waiting. it also cuts on my frizz. When blowdrying my hair I use it and it cuts the time in half. It's great!! if you don't know buy it and experiment. it's worth it and its a great product

I can't say that I've had any hair damage from using this brush. I honestly like it quite a bit! I have very fine hair, but quite a bit of it. Which ultimately makes it look/feel thin, but it's not. The brush worked great for my hair! It normally takes me 6 min to blow dry my hair completely and while using the brush and blowdryer combination on my hair it actually cut my time down to 4 minutes. I've also used this brush on my 2 year old daughter and I can say the same for her hair, except hers is curly. The brush worked great for us!

I don't know where you're getting the idea that towel drying is bad for your hair, because it's not. Blow-drying will dry out your hair, causing split ends and breakage. A towel should be fine, unless you've damaged your hair beyond all recognition (in which case, go to a real salon and they should be able to help).
I don't think it would help much with thin hair anyway.

Towel drying your hair isn't bad as long as you are gentle. If you brush your hair starting at the ends, working your way up, this brush is completely fine. I've been using it about a month and have had no breakage.

I don't believe that towel drying your hair is bad or combing it just don't brush it because your hair is brittle and breakable when wet so when i get out of the shower i put my hair in a towel then after like 10 minutes i take it out and use a wide tooth comb to brush it out which is the best option to use, then i put it back in the towel then do my makeup get dressed all that jazz then when i am done i take down the towel and blow dry the top then flip my head over and use the brush to finish blow drying and because i kept the towel on my head it doesn't take long to finish drying now this is what works for me but i hope that helps
