PROS:Broth CONS: Nasty meat! QUICK TIPS:The broth is ok but the meat in this soup is unlike any other! I never purchase this soup anymore because just looking at that “chicken” grosses me out. I like many other Campbell's soups but definitely not this one.
PROS:cheap CONS: watery. not much flavor QUICK TIPS:this soup is not the best. it is a little watery and doesn't have much flavor. All the other kinds of campbells are my go-to. I only do this soup if I am sick and need something ASAP.
I Love the broth and the noodles in the soup, but can't stomach trying to eat the perfectly squared chicken..anyone else? Just doesn't look natural to me
MICHELLE L.Answer : I always leave the "square" chicken! I think they must be able to make about 10,000 cans from one chicken - 'cause there's only ever about 3 pieces per can!
KATHRYN H.Answer : I agree, I eventually started making broth from bullion cubes and making homemade noodles (which are thicker and taste better -http://localfoods.about.com/od/basics/r/eggnoodles.htm )
BRIANNE L.Answer : I agree, but luckily they don't put much in there anyways ;) It is mostly broth with noodles.
AMBER B.Answer : I like to combine this soup with another chicken noodle. Aim for one that has some carrot or celery bits. the two merge into something good. Or mix with double noodle.
SHAUNA A.Answer : I had some leftover cubed chicken from last night's dinner and threw it into the soup. It makes it heartier. You can also cook up some letter shaped pasta and throw it in for dimension, or some barley for a healthy component. However, to be honest, when I want a fancier soup, I just mix two different kinds together. It always turns out great for me!
Try adding cream of mushroom, minestrone, or alphabet vegetable soup.
