I'm a 30-something living in Ohio, but moving to Virginia soon. I married with 8 cats and no children, yet. I nerd out about a wide variety of things Legos, my cats, Disney, books, video games, board games, Dungeons and Dragons, various TV shows, subscription boxes, and more.
We currently live with six cats, and we recently lost a cat to kidney disease. We know just how important it is for cats to stay hydrated. Since cats don't always drink as much as they should, it is important for us to encourage drinking by providing lots of water bowls with fresh, great-tasting water. We use these filters on a few of our bowls, and they help us encourage good habits.
Instead of mixing this into our cats food, we incorporate into their diet through enrichment activities (such as throwing it and having them chase it; or hiding it). These are tasty enough to entice my cats to put forth the effort, but they are better than giving them treats since they are meant to be part of the meal. The small bag is reasonable priced as well to pick up occasionally for a nice variety.
This litter mat is pretty effective at catching litter. The dense, rough texture holds litter very well. It is a great size, and very soft for the cats feet. It is heavy, so stays down when the cats pick it. My only complaint is that it is very difficult to clean.
These are the standard pads I use all the time, and not just at night. I love the length of the overnight pads, they provide maximum protection even if the pad slides or I'm sitting or standing in a weird position. The ultra-thin size is comfortable but does not decrease the absorption at all.
My cats love temptations treats. I like their size, affordability and variety. One of my cats loves the dairy treats. Creamy Dairy isn't a flavor that is very common among cat treats, so it's something different and she just loves them. We keep in multiple flavors for all our cats.
My husband eats multigrain cheerios every morning for breakfast. They are healthier than many other cereals. They are quite affordable since they are available in two box packages at our local Costco. When they are on sale, we make sure to stock up!
Mini Babybels are perfect for lunches! I sometimes throw them in just as a bit of an extra, but I also use them for doing cheese and crackers for lunch- a few slices of a block cheese (like cheddar) and a babybel acts as a perfect little mix. Throw in some crackers, nuts and fruit and you have a perfect lunch.
I think the original wheat thins are the best flavor. They are a versatile cracker that can be used with a variety of dips and cheeses. Personally, I love them with the spreadable cheeses like Portwine cheese. They are the only cracker I have with these kinds of cheeses.
I love Carr's water crackers, but my husband thinks they are a bit bland, so clearly these aren't for everyone. Personally, I think the cracked pepper variety adds a great kick to the cracker. I think they are perfect for cheese. I find a lot of other crackers too salty, Carr's are not.
Cheez-its are a unique snack. No other cracker tastes quite like it. I typically purchase mine at Costco, but sometimes get them at the grocery store when on sale. I do wish they were a little bit healthier, but when craving a salty and cheesy snack, these work in moderation.
