Review for Bacardi Oakheart Smooth Spiced Rum - 3 months, 1 week ago
A profound drink not for the profane. I tried it, though I endeavoured to validate my opinion by having more seasoned rum drinkers taste it. Indeed the hint of the old casket is there, but slightly oppressed by the other tastes which make up this tapestry of different tastes and hints.  I am usually not a dark rum fan, but this is so delicious with Coca-Cola. I can taste the vanilla and the spices. Really good.
Review for Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey - 3 months, 1 week ago
Simple. No nonsense. A classic, smooth bourbon, perfect in the summer. Devil's Cut is miles ahead, so splash out some extra for the real deal. I've always liked the idea of a corn whiskey, but turned to scotch, a barley whisky, but after comparing, this beam whiskey is very flavorful. I don't know what the snobs are saying, but are they getting paid!? Not a buffalo trace, but the idea instilled for the masses is a good one and this is a solid whiskey....
Review for Jack Daniel's Honey Whiskey - 3 months, 1 week ago
The beverage is perfect! Thick, Tasty and not to strong. It is great for those who are not heavy drinkers, or those who like something just smooth and delicious! elicious. Not a bourbon as only 35% ABV. But it's tasty and easy to drink and is alcoholic! Was drinking Wild Turky before this which packs a punch but nice to have a break
Review for Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch - Liter - 3 months, 1 week ago
My favourite whisky, I like the slight smoke and the hint of orange and spice. I think it needs a little water or to be perfect, swirled over a small ice cube. Fantastic blend. Peaty enough to add the perfect amount of smoke, with complex amounts of dried fruits and citrus throughout. Very easy to drink, the perfect argument in favour of blended whiskeys, even though I'm normally a single malt man.
Review for Glenfiddich 18 Year Old Single Malt - 3 months, 1 week ago
Don't mistake fine and elegant with thin and short-lived. There is a subtle difference for the inexperienced palate. There is some whiskey much older than 18 years in this giving it a delicate mouth feel and aftertaste. This is a bonzer whisky, much smoother than Glenlivet and my favourite Speyside. Soft, rounded, sweet malty taste, lovely texture. Completely lovely. Nothing at all to complain about. probably not as complex as 18 year old Highland Park, but what is? Absolutely no complaints. happy for anyone to send me a bottle, any time.
